22oz bottle purchased at Total Wine Laguna Hills Nice looking pour, black with a one finger tan head. The aroma is predominantly of coffee grounds and the flavor has notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts with some vanilla in the background. It has a nice creamy texgture

Black pour, brown head. Roasty coffee aroma with espresso and a bit of chocolate. Flavor has lots of chocolate and roast; delicious! Very rich and chewy mouthfeel.

Bouteille. Une bière énorme et peu subtile. À l’image de son nom faut croire. Robe molle et lourde, noire comme du goudron. Arômes robustes de réglisse noire, de malts torréfiés, de grains de café entiers et de fumée. Je peine à en déceler la moindre subtilité. De la vanille? Ah bon. En bouche le liquide est franchement aminci par cette barrique de whiskey qui affirme sa présence avec autorité. La vanille me semble provenir de la barrique plutôt que d’une gousse de vanille ajoutée. Plutôt dure à boire, cette bière est loin d’être mauvaise, simplement sans subtilité.

Piwo koloru czarnego z jasno beżową szybko opadającą pianą. W aromacie potężna kawa, gorzka czekolada, praliny, wanilia, kakaowe ciasto nasączone likierem, gdzieś z tyłu przemykają nuty mokrego drewna i whiskey. Zapach jest bogaty. W smaku kawa, gorzka czekolada, kakaowe ciastka, wanilia, delikatny posmak suszonych owoców, goryczka na finiszu. Po przełknięciu pojawia się w ustach smak mokrej beczki i whiskey. Podsumowując to piwo jest MEGA! Jeden z lepszych imperialnych stoutów jakie piłem.

Bottle, many thanks Max! Black color with beige head. Aroma is bell peppers, espresso, black chocolate. Taste is the same, but a bit chalky and spicy as well. Fine-bubbled carbonation, silky mouthfeel. Very nice, but the flavour does not hold up to the aroma.

Bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is strong coffee, green peppers, chalk. Body is heavy, strongly bitter, intense coffee. Almost a bit dusty. Soft carbonation and smooth texture. Boozy, long palate. Very good!

Pours opaque dark brown with no head. Nose is molasses and sweet cocoa. Flavour has a fair amount lot of coffee with a subtle hint of chocolate. It drinks a bit thin with a slight boozyness.

#80 Negra de espuma marrom de média formação e persistência. No aroma café verde sobressai sobre o Bourbon e amadeirado, álcool bem evidente, faltou equilíbrio. No paladar mais café mas agora de média torrefação, médio dulçor e leve acidez. Licorosa, média carbonatação. Final fica mais balanceado com uma boa mistura de café verde com torrado, Bourbon continua no segundo plano adicionando complexidade.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2017 Bouteille, release #69. Merci Alex pour le share! Robe brune pratiquement opaque avec un col de mousse beige et laiteux. Arômes de malt torréfié, grains de café, chocolat au lait, branche de bois dur, anis, crème à la vanille. En bouche, goût de chocolat noir et de whisky sucré qui transite tranquillement vers des saveurs de café-crème, de bois et un léger côté épicé venant de l’alcool, en passant par des saveurs de vanille. Superbe agencement des saveurs qui se développent d’ailleurs l’une après l’autre. Belle texture onctueuse et lisse, corps bien rond.
