The beer is pitch black. Smells of cocoa and booze. Heavy chocolate from the cocoa nibs. Perfect carbonation delivers a buttery alcohol blast.

Espresso aroma, pours a thick black color, no head, beer sticks to the glass. Mostly coffee flavor and chocolate. Excellent. Shag (3026) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Are you kidding me? Are you f-n kidding me? This beer is the most epic beer of all beers. A pitch black color with a tan head. The aroma is chocolate, espresso, caramel, and vanilla. The flavor is perfectly balanced with some german chocolate cake, espresso, coffee, and caramel. The aftertaste is somewhat sweet but the bitterness from the coffee balances everything. Is it sacrelig to say better than Dark Lord or Expedition? This beer probably is! lafleur48 (2) - Broomfield, Colorado, USA - JAN 24, 2014 does not count
chocolate, roasty, coffee, heavy, savory, full body, the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate, higher ABV without affecting the flavor; best stout I have had to date cfour (1) - Michigan, USA - FEB 15, 2014 does not count

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 This beer is an explosion if flavor. It pours thick and looks like motor oil. It could be a sipping beer but I found myself guzzling it because it tastes so darn good. Reminds me of some mighty fine imperial stouts that are aged in Whiskey barrels. Don’t need the whiskey barrel. This brew stands in its own. Definitely a powerful brew. Drink a bomber if this and go to bed! Savage_Night (434) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 25, 2015
