COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture. As beverage geeks we wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition and offer our unique take.

Big Bad Baptista is a combination of Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mexican coffee roasted by Blue Copper, and Solstice Chocolate cacao nibs. It’s luxurious to say the least, with a pleasant warming sensation generated by the cinnamon and alcohol. Enjoying the interplay of chocolate, malt, oak, and spice is the perfect way to spend a cool evening, with friends around a fire.

Bottle, pours black with nice medium coffee head. The initial nose is fudge and chocolate milk. Cacao nibs, heavy cinnamon, peppers, spices, nutmeg/pumpkin, vanilla, overly roasted coffee, Mole, and more chocolate. Medium to fuller body with ultra warming effects. Not my thing but enjoyable, heavy cinnamon and cocoa in this stout.

Pours very dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of spices, malt, and wood. Taste of pepper, cinnamon, and other traditional BA imperial stout flavors. This is a very good stout. Thumbs up.

Dégustaion Manseau printemps 2017. Release 1 2016. Une robe noire très foncée. Un nez incroyable de café de olla avec du whiskey en fond de trame. Une bouche piquante, forte de fudge, de café cheap mexicain et de whiskey. Longue à souhait cette bière me semble déconnectée.

The aroma is chocolate, coffee and cinnamon. Pours dark brown with big creamy tan head, mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is sweet with a little bitter from the chocolate, coffee and cinnamon. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy and the finish long. Very Good!!!

5/6/17 (Las Vegas Nevada). 2016 Rare release, 11 oz pour into tulip glass from 1 pint, 6 oz bottle. Solid black pour with tan lacing. Coffee, chocolate aroma, very sweet. Taste consistent with aroma, chocolate the predominate flavor. Strong beer, very easy going down. Overall excellent offering, typically do not like beers this sweet but the taste, texture and quality won me over. Well done Epic Brewing, and thank you brother for sharing this beer!

Thanks to Owen for sharing Black pour, light tan head. Nose is cinnamon, pepper, coffee, subtle coconut, and chocolate. Really well layered. taste is cinnamon, coffee, chocolate, some black pepper, some whisky, some coconut. Feels lighter than near 12%. easy to drink and very complex beer. One of the better adjunct stouts out there.
