COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brainless Belgian-Style Golden Ale is has a rich and complex malt flavor balanced with a little bit of spicy noble hops and strong influences of fermentation esters from the Belgian yeast used. Various Belgian like Rock Candies, hops and grains are employed to express variations within the style. Deceivingly drinkable, some liken theses ales to the Devil sneaking up on you, so consume responsibly.

Release 17. 8.5%. Golden with ring. Herbal bready apricot aroma. Fruity sweet apricot nearing syrupy with assertive lingering spicy bitterness. Too bitter and too full-bodied for the delicate style. Still, pretty good.

Aroma is yeast, coriander, and cloves. Taste is mildly sweet, herbal. Full bodied, this packs an albeit well disguised punch. Finish is quite smooth. Delicious.

Draft. Generally clear gold pour, thin whitish head, wasn’t enough room in the glass to get an lace really. Fruit and spice head, though a little muted. Taste brings out some more spice as well as some wheat. medium body. Not as complex as some Belgians but well made.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves virtually no lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with a hint of spices and yeast. Taste is a fruity and malty sweetness with a spicy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Nice balance of flavours, but lacking complexity.

I’ve had and like some of the fruited versions. Some are too sweet. This is a fruity sweet leaning golden to start with. A touch thick but dry as well. Pretty solid.
