22 oz bottle, my bottle reads release #23? Pours hazy orange with a huge at least three finger white head and cobwebby lace. Aroma is fresh hops, it actually smells like fresh picked off the vine hops, strong lupulin, citrus, piney, medium weight malt. The taste is very much like the aroma, there is a nice fruity Belgian quality, strong citrus, yeasty, sturdy bitterness with enough complexity to not be overbearing. The carbonation could have been higher, a bit soft. Decent, I assumed the Brainless series was all about fruit, but i guess not. After i posted my review i went on their website and looked up some stuff, i now realize this bottle that i am now drinking and rated relatively high was bottled on 8-25-14, over seven months ago. This still tastes good, assuming from the Belgian influence, but would love to try a fresher bottle.

On tap at Epic meet the brewer event at Watering Hole. Orange amber color with a nice soapy eggshell head. Resiny hops, grass on the nose with caramel, toffee and roasted malt present as well. Nice bitter finish. Well-balanced albeit boring IPA.

Pours very light golden with bubbles rising slowly to the surface. Initially there was almost no head, but eventually a small white head built from beneath. Aroma of citrus, honey and a hint of green grass. Definitely has a Belgian flavor to it - a bit malty for an IPA and also vert smooth in the mouth. Balanced with a nice citrus flavor and a reasonable hop flavor, though these beer is by no means overhopped or bitter. I enjoyed drinking this beer and it was flavorful without being overdone.

Release #16 almost a year later. No bueno. Hmmm...need to remember to check batch releases before I get excited about something. Im still here, and drinking and tasting despite the age on the bottle. And, despite the age on the bottle, the aroma spilling from the snifter is quite nice; spicy, clove-infused plums and some light hops present right there in the mix. Not as heavy as I would have liked, but considering the age... The head is thick, soft and white and as it disappears, it leaves a wet map trail on the glass. Not sticky, but sticking. Okay, so far, so good. First pull from the glass. In the words of a friend...meh. The flavor is a dud in comparison to the aroma and Im underwhelmed by the feel of this in my mouth. I cant find anything but ripe, spicy banana and what is there is doesnt do much for my tasters. Blas, on all counts but the aroma; the flat, slightly sour fruits with a bitter back end make me think that the flavor wasnt a humdinger when it first came out. I definitely should have had a fresher brew to review, and Ill look for one to make sure I give this a chance, but I dont have very high hopes.

Poured from bottle, pours a hazy orange with a thick white head and some lacing in the glass, the aroma has a good amount of hops and floral hops with quite a bit of tropical fruit, the flavor has a mango and fruity front end with a finish of citrus hops, not overly bitter but it seems like it works out pretty well, nice.

tap - Pours hazy orange with a small head. It smells of citrus and floral hops. The flavor has good, strong bitter with ample citrus character. Theres the expected long, bitter finish. Crisp and tasty. Its a very well crafted IPA.
