Aroma of hops and pine sap. Cloudy amber color with a lasting white head. Chalky dry taste with hints of hops. Dry minearl finish. natejgood (527) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - JAN 31, 2015
Pours very light golden with bubbles rising slowly to the surface. Initially there was almost no head, but eventually a small white head built from beneath. Aroma of citrus, honey and a hint of green grass. Definitely has a Belgian flavor to it - a bit malty for an IPA and also vert smooth in the mouth. Balanced with a nice citrus flavor and a reasonable hop flavor, though these beer is by no means overhopped or bitter. I enjoyed drinking this beer and it was flavorful without being overdone. lightbias (455) - USA - JAN 19, 2015
Release #16 almost a year later. No bueno. Hmmm...need to remember to check batch releases before I get excited about something. I’m still here, and drinking and tasting despite the age on the bottle. And, despite the age on the bottle, the aroma spilling from the snifter is quite nice; spicy, clove-infused plums and some light hops present right there in the mix. Not as heavy as I would have liked, but considering the age...
The head is thick, soft and white and as it disappears, it leaves a wet map trail on the glass. Not sticky, but sticking. Okay, so far, so good.
First pull from the glass. In the words of a friend...meh. The flavor is a dud in comparison to the aroma and I’m underwhelmed by the feel of this in my mouth. I can’t find anything but ripe, spicy banana and what is there is doesn’t do much for my tasters. Blasé, on all counts but the aroma; the flat, slightly sour fruits with a bitter back end make me think that the flavor wasn’t a humdinger when it first came out.
I definitely should have had a fresher brew to review, and I’ll look for one to make sure I give this a chance, but I don’t have very high hopes.

Poured from bottle, pours a hazy orange with a thick white head and some lacing in the glass, the aroma has a good amount of hops and floral hops with quite a bit of tropical fruit, the flavor has a mango and fruity front end with a finish of citrus hops, not overly bitter but it seems like it works out pretty well, nice. patrick767 (4177) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 3, 2015
tap - Pours hazy orange with a small head. It smells of citrus and floral hops. The flavor has good, strong bitter with ample citrus character. There’s the expected long, bitter finish. Crisp and tasty. It’s a very well crafted IPA.

Hazy orange colored pour. Big off white head. Little bit of lacing. Malty aroma with notes of orange. Big malt taste and a nice citrusy hop note. mmmbeer (1429) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2014
22oz. bottle (Release#18) served in shaker- poured a heavily murky faded copper/orange color that was not transparent, very foamy and thick one finger white head formed and laced very nicely upon the vessel. Aroma of citrus and pine. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is thrown in with some caramel but it’s a little done in haste, middle has an uneven hop crescent, finish is mildly acidic. yet another disappointed New Year’s Beer- yea! zgaier (1962) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2014

Nice hoppy IPA that stands up to the best. Tasted it next to Epic Hopulent IPA which is 2 % stronger. Both were delicious. To be honest. Perhaps I’d drink the Brainless IPA because i may be vertical longer and may enjoy another. I like the stronger IPA too but I actually thought the Brainless was just perfect. Great malty flavor, hop character was fully potent and I thought I tasted the hops in this IPA as much as the much stronger Hopulent IPA.
