Sampled on draft at Jackie O’s. Pours a hazy red color with a medium sized frothy offwhite head that fades quickly. Aroma of cherries, berries and an herbal note. The taste is sweet malts, cherries, bread and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Nickls (2617) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 14, 2011
Bottle, Batch 4. Hazy ruby red, with really no head other than some white fizziness. Cherries, sweetness, slight woodiness, and vinous notes, but mostly fruity aroma. Flavor is a touch of sweet cherry, some warming darker fruit tones, slight sweetness, touch of earth and vanilla. Not bad, but a touch sweet for me. Medium body with tight bubbly carbonation. portableparty (2398) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 13, 2011

On tap at beer engine, pour is murky red with a nose of cherries and the taste reveals a bubblegum taste to bring out the Belgian no bad certainly worth trying radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 30, 2011
Sampler 4oz draft from Rustico Ballston. Poured a cherry red color with a off-white pink head. Aroma was sour cherries, almost preserve like in character. Flavor was sweet/sour cherries. This one is very tart, and very tasty. Couldn’t imagine myself having more than 10oz so expect to share the bottle. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JUL 27, 2011
release #1 from dave on 12/19/10.
reddish tinted golden yellow. soft white head on top.
similar to the regular brainless...
the aroma shows some mild cherry/vinous notes, mineral, grass and wood on top of pale malt, yeast and spice.
there is a dryness on the palate which didn’t exist in the original which helps the mouth feel and flavor immensely... also, the flavor is pretty much the aroma combined with the notes of smoke and match stick-like sulfur. 7/4/7/3/15

This one poured a cloudy darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was lgiht belgian spices, light cherries and some wheat there too. Flavor was subdued cherries, belgina spice and wheat notes with some vineous notes there as well. Nice stuff. corby112 (2813) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2011
Pours a dark golden ruby color with cherry/blood red edges and a half finger fizzy pink head that quickly fades into lasting ring. Not much lacing.
Sweet fruit aroma with earhty oak and vanilla. Lots of sweet cherry which is kind of artificial/syrupy smelling. Some boozy alcohol sweetness but the cherries overpower the nose.
Medium bodied with tight carbonation, earthy oak and vanilla with dark fruits underneath that blend well with the sweet cherry flavor. Slight maracino cherry juice flavor with a boozy punch. Not as sweet or syrupy as the aroma suggests. Pretty well balanced actually and the ABV is nicely masked.
