COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: batch 5 and all subsequent batches are put into Red Wine Barrels (the batch number is printed on the label). All earlier batches were in White Wine Barrels and should not be rated here. Release 5 of Brainless on Cherries, has a new twist- we used Red Wine (cab and syrah) barrels for the second fermentation and aging as apposed to White Wine barrels. The result, dryer, lighter body, fruit shines thru and a bit of tannin and wood notes in the finish

Very nice ruby red amber color. Cherry aroma. Sips almost sour lambic like, very fruity. But nicely dry and balanced with the wine barrel flavor, which is very pronounced. Low carbonation liveliness. Alcohol is hardly noticeable.

Not sure if this one works. The various flavor components are individually superb, but they fight each other. A bit too much dissonance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice reddish color, some flavor from the wine barrels adding and nice cherry taste without being over powering.

Draft at Uno. Pours copper with no head at all. Aroma is cherry, grass. Taste is tart cherry, a nice red wine (meaty, dark fruits). I’m missing the "ale" part here to be honest but the overall experience is not a bad one.

Pours a clear golden with a slight red tint. Little to no head. Aroma’s of cherries acidity, and some slight brett funk. Flavors of tart up front then mellows. Med/light sweet and nice acidity.

Pours amber, no head. Nose is oak, cherry, and alcohol. Flavor is boozy cherry, with pepper and wood characters. This was like a flat cheery juice spiked with vodka. Pretty disappointing...

Poured as a taster at Denver taproom. cherries on aroma, approachable, easy, cherries on front, malt on finish w/ notes of caramel

22 oz. bottle in a snifter. Appearance is an amber-pink color with a fizzy white head which dissipates very quickly. Aroma is rich pale malts, banana, cloves, some cherry tartness, and Belgian yeast funk. Taste follows the nose. It definitely tastes like a Belgian ale with a bit of cherries. Unfortunately, that combination doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped. Overall, this is pretty average.
