Light unclear deep amber color with a small head. Cherries and some yeast in the aroma. Fine body and tad sweet. Moderate sournes/acidity. Soft carbonation. Oak, cherries and some yeast in the flavor. Decent nice ale. Well masked alcohol.mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2015

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2015 Real malty cherry wine aroma. Many phases. Starts tasting like a smoke porter, ends sweet. Think it’s a Belgian. Not my fav b3shine (8804) - Indiana, USA - DEC 14, 2014
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a hazy fuller orange with thin eggshell head that dissipates quickly and completely. Smells and tastes of Belgian yeast, oak, and mild cherries with some soft vinous notes woven in. Medium-bodied and softly carbonated. Semi-dry. Enjoyable. kevinator (2176) - The Colony, Texas, USA - DEC 1, 2014
Interesting take on the original Brainless. Tart berry and cherry aroma with some funk. Pretty soft ruby color with hints on bronze. Medium and smooth palate. Carbonation was subtle. Cherry with a sharpness that had hints of oak and finished dry. Most presumably from the wine influence. mar (5409) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 7, 2014
Amber with a white head. Nose is wood, rich wine notes, cherries, and lightly tart. Easy palate, heavy barrel notes, cherry, hint of tartness, dash of alcohol in the finish.

Tap at the brewery. Taster. Pours a deep red with little head. Aroma is oak, faint cherries, white wine. Taste is white wine, oak and hints of cherries. A good beer, but was expecting a but more cherry flavors. Palate is light body, medium carbonation. Ehh. jhamp9 (1833) - Corinth, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Clear copper pour with an off white head. Aroma is oak, sweet cherry, and caramel. Taste is really sweet caramel, some vinous notes, and a lot of wood. Slight alcohol warmth. Medium body. Jur (468) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2014

Clear red copper, 0 head. Sour cherry nose & red wine. Sweet cherry alas, not sour. Boozy, too sugary - cassis. Very unbalanced, like drinking a glass of hard candy... superspak (5511) - Michigan, USA - SEP 29, 2014
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; Batch #26, Bottled 12/6/2013. Pours slightly hazy reddish orange color with a 1 finger foamy light pink head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing very quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, red grape, pear, apple, tannic red wine, oak, clove, pepper, candi sugar, herbal, grass, bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of cherries, fruity/spicy yeast, wine barrel, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart cherry, red grape, pear, apple, tannic red wine, oak, clove, pepper, candi sugar, herbal, grass, bread, and yeast/oak earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/tannic tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, red grape, pear, apple, red wine, oak, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, bread, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of cherries, fruity/spicy yeast, wine barrel, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/fruit balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly tannic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice wine barrel fruited Belgian ale. All around good complexity and balance of cherries, fruity/spicy yeast, wine barrel, and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the big ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering. lana5 (62) - Canton, Michigan, USA - SEP 27, 2014
Batch 22, delicious smell. Tastes of cherries and is sweet but not overly sweet. Pretty tasty.
