COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with classic Pacific Northwest Cascade, Centennial, Mt. Hood in the boil and dry hopped with more Cascade hops. Cascade aroma dominates the nose, so be sure to sniff it like a wine snob. Plenty of ultra premium Maris Otter malt and three specialty malts give the beer a nice smooth sailing biscuit like aroma and body, some sweetness, well balanced against 5.8% alcohol by volume.

This has a fairly strong hop aroma. A brownish orange. This is an excellent pale ale. A nice light bite and a good crisp finish.

Cask: Tangerine and grapefruit nose, subtle pine needle hints. Cloudy amber medium yellow head, good lacing. Soft carbonation. Orange peel, light grapefruit. Quaffable, decently hopped, good balance. It’s what you want in an APA. Versatile in food pairing.

Poured this at a good temperature with a colossal, cream-colored, foamy, frothy, fluffy head that lasts forever and loads of sticky lace. Color is a slightly hazy, medium amber with lots of bubble trails of many sizes. Aroma is fairly simple and fresh - Cascade hops and malt, with a bit of grass. Flavor’s like nose and likewise somewhat simple, fresh. Hops are more apparent and longer lasting. Body is great although the carbonation at first is strong. Finish is like flavor, but the hoppiness makes the aftertaste a little medicinal. Except for strength, it’s more like an IPA.

Sledutah (7834) - Utah, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Bottle from footbalm and timbo78, picked up from Utah’s newest brewery
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden with a nice white head and nice amount of lacing
Aroma: Floral, yeast and some pale malts
Taste: Floral with some sweet malts
This is a great pale ale. I would put it up there with some of the best Pale Ales I’ve had. Well balanced. Crisp and clean.

GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - JUN 5, 2011
A good copper pour and a lasting creamy head. Smells all nice and hopped up. Full nectar with creamy residual effers. A foundation of malty blubber is encroached upon by cutters from the hoppy kind. Eventually a balance is met and there is happiness in the hive. Good stuff.

Bomber Bottle from Total Wine Tucson. Nice cloudy pour with a thin head. Nutty yeasty with a hint of rasin and grapefruit. Nice balance of all.

Quite enjoyable and flavorful. Two demerits. First, Way too high ABV for this style. Second, I seem to be detecting a slight alcohol burn.

22 oz bomber purchased form Epic Brewing in SLC, poured into a goblet. Appearance: Light hazy wonderful light golden. Slightly off-white head settles slowly to leave some patching with not much lace. Aroma: Pine needle and herbal hops with some citrus mingled into the light malty notes. Taste/ Mouthfeel: Not as hoppy as the nose. Light sweetness with the alcohol balanced nicely. For a pale Ale, this one has a good amount of body. The texture is slightly thick with nice average carbonation. The finish is sweet and somewhat long. The bitterness of the hops diminish before the sweetness. Overall: I am so glad that this brewery is nearby. One of my favorite beers from Epic!
