Toasty malt and orange-y hop aroma. Nice toasted/bread crust malt flavor; sweeter and light caramel in finish. Citrus fruity hop flavors. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 16, 2012
On tap. Pours with a mostly clear bronze body with a retentive off-white head. Aromas are bready, toasty, lightly roasty and chocolatey. Mild ester, minerals and berries. Grainy, light hop. Flavors are bready, light roast, toasty, fruity. A touch of caramel. Dry, medium body. Fuller carbonation. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - NOV 25, 2012
25 nov 2012, bottle. Rosy amber, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is bread crust and orange and grapefruit citrus hops. Med body and faintly fizzy. Has a dry bread malt background that is faint at first but comes out more in the finish. In the middle is the soft city's rind and perhaps peach hops. Nice.

22 oz bottle poured a slightly hazy hazy orange-amber color. Above average head and lacing. Sweet caramel malt is the dominant aroma and flavor.
Some ctirus hops too. Very good sweet/bitter balance. Exceptionally smooth and drinkable.

Bottle: Murky brown with a small tan head. Malty nuts, butter, and cornbread. Thin body with not much flavor. Needs more hops. Seemed like it was on its way to a Scottish ale. Watery aftertaste.

Pours an amber color with a really thick head. Some citrus and malty notes to the nose, which is an odd pairing. I find the taste to be a little dirty and sour. Meh. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Poured into a pint glass.
3.5 A: Moderately hazed orange amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is about average and a good amount of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Toasty with grainy malts. Moderate neutral malt sweetness. Simple, but pleasant.
3.5 T: Taste the same. Toasted malts is the focus with graininess and neutral sweetness next. Tasty.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and insanely smooth.
3.5 D: Standard, but solid amber. Good enough all around.

muddy and cloudy malt brew sweet with caramel with a hop aroma and a bit of pine hop in the taste. slick and muddy mouthfeel. different. ekoerper (599) - Iowa, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Nose is full of caramel malts, biscuits, bread, slightly nutty, faint touch of hops. Pours a slightly hazy copper, one finger off-white head with good retention, leaves spotty lacing. Flavor is of course quite malt-forward, caramel and toffee, toasty and biscuity, pleasant hop bitterness to balance and some citrus hop flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Bomber from Sam’s Quik Stop. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grainy malts with some toastiness and floral hops. The taste is toasted malts with a resin hop finish. Medium bodied.
