Too many Wild Turkeys too really make much sense but I think my numbers are okay. The aroma is there. Taste is about the most balanced Ive had. Palate is super clean and smooth. Underrated.

On tap at the Denver brewery. Amber, light brown and clear appearance with a fully dissipating head. Aroma of dark malts, bread, dark fruits, toasted grains, caramel, toffee and light earthy hops. Similar flavor, malty with moderate sweetness and light hop bitterness. Medium to full body with a rich and lingering finish.

Pour is a clear brown with a large white head. Aroma is a spicy dark fruit with a sweet molasses malt. Flavor is more molasses and dark fruit with a bit of sugar and a bready fig newton. Finish is more sweet dark fruit with a bit of spice. This is a fine doppelbock. A little sweeter than those made in Germany but still this follows all the guidelines.

The nose is a big malty, bready and mild fruit collaboration. Pours a clear brown color - reminding me of watery coffee. The head is thin and dissipates quickly. The flavor is also very malty with a little sweet. I taste dark bread, cocoa, ripe fruits and earth. It's not a typical dopplebock since it's a lager. It lighter and much more approachable but also less complex and chewy.
