COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Epic Brewing has been making high-strength beers in the land of low-strength (Utah). Rather than expand their operations there, they chose to open a 2nd brewery in a more encouraging state, Colorado. This is their first batch of beer brewed here in Denver. Big, fruity hop aromas.

Docavey (87) - Lehigh Acres, Florida, USA - AUG 14, 2017
Had this from a can in Thayne, WY. Great floral hops balanced by nice malt and 6.2% ABV. Still seems light in the mouth though. Easy to drink. F Avey---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Iznogud (3907) - CROATIA - AUG 12, 2017
Canned, 355 ml from state liquor store, St George. Pours cloudy golden with small white head. Hoppy, citrus, some grapefruit, malty, light to moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium bodied.

Onslow (1510) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 7, 2017
Pour from a 12oz can. Slightly cloudy golden/amber brew with dens creamy head. Faint aroma of light lemon with earthy notes. Taste is moderate bready malt up front. A little tropical fruit and grass in the middle but that fades and end with a sweet note with some citrus and tropical fruit lingering. Tastes good but if not for the label I’d peg this an a Pils or maybe and IPL. Nice tasty bready malt with a weak hops profile. There are some ink dots on the bottom of the can but nothing that resembles a date (or any other information). Maybe its expired, certainly not spoiled. Very enjoyable.

halfonit (1371) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 2, 2017
On tap at A1. Pours a slightly hazy, orange-golden color with a thick head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of fruits, fresh and crisp hops, citrus, and some lemon. Flavor is of citrus, starfruit, kiwi, bread, some malts, and pine. Leaves a fresh, citrusy hop finish.

BeerViking (4908) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2017
Can from the brewery. Pours golden with a fluffy white head and light aromas of herby hops and golden syrup. Clean, bittersweet and distantly biscuity. Becomes smoothly pithy-bitter, with a light malty sweetness.

Another of many grapefruit juice IPAs. Fine if you like grapefruit juice, which I do, however it is so common among IPAs. This one dors not stand out. It happens to be a hot day in Bangkok and I ducked into a bar and they had this on tap. I’m enjoying it because it’s cold and I’m hot. So that favors my rating I’m sure.

Hazy golden pour from undated can, no head. Aroma starts nice with bready, piney, tropical and stone fruit nuances. Taste follows at first but almost immediately gets shut down by a sharp, overwhelming Muenster cheese flavor from the hops. After pinpointing the flavor the aroma became straight cheese. I asked my fellow patrons to "think cheese" while sipping and everyone else noticed it too. I was frankly quite surprised to see no mention of it in other ratings. It is possible that we got a mistreated six pack, but I was severely disappointed. Everything else I’ve tried from Epic has been excellent, but I will never buy/recommend this beer in particular.

Relatively simple in the context of mod IPA. Clean but a bit lean, some aniseed and bite. Easy to like as a session beer.

Can. Bought Mar 2017; BB undated; Drank Apr 2017 - Clear Yellow colour. Medium foamy white head. Very Fruity; lemon and grapefruit citrus, peach. Moderate hop bitterness, piney hops. Pale malts, toasty, caramel. Quite dry. Moderately bitter citrus fruity and hoppy throughout. Undated can, so don’t know how old. Hops may have mellowed out over time. Would be nice if Epic could be bothered to date their cans. However, it was a pleasant drinkable beer. (2017-04)

A very yellow IPA but great taste and easy going down. Looks like a pilsner.
