Poured from a bottle. Pours a very pretty orange-gold with nice white head. Aroma - malt sweetness and a bit of spice right after open. Taste - malty, sweet, caramel, some dark coffee, a bit of hop bitterness. EdInSaltLake (727) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Sweet malty aroma; a little bread crust and fruitiness. Sweet, biscuit/toast, light caramel flavor. Spicy/herbal hops, and fruity yeast. The sweetness dominates the other malt flavors--but otherwise, good beer. (Release #15) greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - NOV 9, 2013
Bottle, batch #11. Pours a clear deep orange. Very rich, sweet caramel, nutty flavor. There are some fruity undertones. A bit heavier than most traditional Marzens. It’s good but on the verge on being too sweet. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2013

Bomber poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, graininess, earthiness and toasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, toasted malt and light earthiness with a smooth lingering caramel finish. brinehart (213) - Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Beautifully clear reddish-orange. Dry, toasty malt dominates. Assertive hops in finish. Very clean and well made. Would be better to me if a bit less dry. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Dark Amber in color, clear with a thin head nice Marzen flavors and finish. This was a very nice Okto. phaleslu (10547) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Draft at The Brass Tap - U Square (Cincinnati). Pours a totally clear golden color with a bit of a copper hue. Small off-white head that settles into a ring quickly. Notes of grassy, leafy hops, pale and toasty malts, some minor florals, faint husky grains, some earthiness throughout. Light-bodied, with a watery, earthy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Honestly, before I dug deeper into the entries, I figured I was drinking one of the Wet Hop Harvest Ale versions of this, but the last one was brewed a year ago. Didn’t strike me as a marzen. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 11, 2013
On tap @ Epic (Denver). Pours copper in color with an off-white head. Really grainy, dusty nose. Some bread, toast, and sugary fruit. Some earthy and floral hops as well. Flavors are toasted bread, earth, and grain. Somewhat dusty, a little bit fruity, and fairly sweet all around. Not a big fan.
