Clear amber to copper pour with a tall, creamy, chunky beige head that fades pretty quickly to a thick skim and leaves a little lacing. Lots of floral and fruity notes in the aroma, nice toat, cereal, juicy citrus and a hint of mango heavy tropical fruit. Flavor is very toasty and nutty up front, some pine, then grapefruit, passion fruit, mango, floral, fruity notes, striking me more as yeast related than hop a decent amount of grapefruit bitterness to the finish and a hint of anise. Medium body, creamy entry, juicy middle, moderate strength, blanketing carbonation and a crisp, off dry finish. Pretty damn good. It has a nice hop profile, though it could use more of them. I definitely have to wonder how good this might be in a younger state, as I doubt the trip from Auckland, New Zealand to Iowa U.S.A. was in a time frame quick enough to be IPA friendly.

Amber to copper in color. Light beige head. Nice lace. Fruity scents along with mild rubber cement, and dark caramel. Citric and grilled oranges flavors. Pale and lightly toasted malt. Lightly woody finish. 12/13

Definitely an odd IPA. I thought maybe my bottle was old (which it very well may be) but other reviews say similar things. Not really very hoppy. It definitely has flavour, but not the typical bitter IPA. Copper body, white head and lacing. Aroma is kind of a funky malt and cocoa. Taste is sweet and malty with only the faintest hint of hops. Maybe some kind of unidentified tropical fruit. Kind of mislabelled as an IPA, but still tastes alright. Hmm once this warned up a bit more of the traditional hoppy IPA elements come out. Still unique. Upped the rating a touch.

Flaska. Svag arom med malt o lite pilsnerkänsla. Smaken känns något tunn men med mycket smak. Beskan mycket bra när den kommer smygande.

Bottle. Pours a reddish orange color with minimal white head that dissipates quickly. A corny sweet aroma up front. a little fruity. Taste is sweet initially and then reveals some tropical notes but quickly drops off and finishes with a moderate bitterness. Very interesting hop profile. A little too sweet and malty for my taste and I think that also masks the hops a bit too.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2015 An enjoyable beer on its own - but not up to the usual Epic standard of excellence. Try one of their many other excellent brews instead...

Bottle. Amber clear. Sweety caramel, raisin-like, malts and almost vinous tones on nose. Body bitter, dry. candi- sugar flavours, there"s so much of that caramel. I have no idea where the nz hops have gone, but clearly there’s none here. Sucks, as I ended up paying almost 20e for a single bottle. This is a belgian strong.

Dark copper. Very little head. Strange nose that is difficult to identify, but not something one would associate with this style. Heavy and smooth malts give this beer more than a backbone-- as beer warms the malts become stronger and almost harsh. I’m having trouble identifying the variety of hops used. Heavy on the malt and light on the hops. This is definitely not a craft-brewed American IPA! Strange overall profile and I can’t say I like this beer.

Hops may have been fading in the bottle I tried. There was a distinct lack of character and bitterness was just beginning to dominate in the way that it does when hops are giving up the ghost. If so, I would like to try this beer fresh. There were some nice hints of orange peel and perhaps grapefruit lurking but in its present state this was lackluster.

Coors golden. Not much had white slightly fluffy. I'm gay. China's turn any like I'm really gay your mom. I don't. Now I'm in a vagina.

50cl bottle pours with a clear copper body with thin gold edges and supporting a thin white head. The aroma has a sliver of mango heading quickly into firm pine and then a bit of lime and toasted biscuit. The taste starts with pine sap bitter hoppiness and sliding into sweet malts to slightly biscuit like malts. In between the malts and firm pine hops are grapefruit and orange peel citrus as well as a light touch of floral hops. Pretty darn nice IPA.
