Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This has been in the cellar for several months. Pours with a dense tan head and huge cocoa aroma. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, soft stone fruit. A nice, easy drinking porter.

Bomber. Nose lightly sweet, sweetness over roast, shade of sour/tart with choco and faint fruit. Pours a deep red-light brown with a foamy tan head. Taste lightly tart, medium sweetness and just enough bitterness for balance, light and gentle roast with mild chocolate, hint of browned nuts toward the back. Crisp light-medium body with a nice soft roast aftertaste, very gentle warming but alcohol wrap-up is top notch. Hops are mild but produce a nice accent. Well made and strong all around.

22 oz bottle, $3.99 World Market Columbus. Clear black pour; giant rocky eggshell head becomes a large ring and can be somewhat revived with swirling; very heavy alcing. Aroma is weak; "black," nutty, roast, ash, dark chocolate, yet not much coffee. Flavor also weak; nut, roast, ash; dry finish. Velvety carbonation but a little on the thin side. Pretty lame porter.

Pours a deep sable just a fleas eyebrow above black with a frothy and fine-bubbled tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma has strong woody, nutty, malty, and subtle spicy notes. Flavor has a malty underpinning and nutty, earthy, chocolate, and toffee tones, along with woody, bitter hops. Texture has average weight but plenty of fizz, leaving a woody, earthy finish. A satisfying porter.

22oz pour - As the label suggest, I would call this a lactose porter. Much of this is dairy with some complimentary dry characteristics. Good everyday type porter that is easy drinking.

Bottle: Dark brown with a tan ring head. Funky, almost moldy garbage aroma and Ill throw in some malt balls. Super thin body and lacking in comparison to other solid porters. Coffee and charcoal trailer. Ok, but disappointing,
