3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 picked up at the COOP yesterday for I think $4ish... Sorta expensive for what it is, but it is well made... Pours a slight hazy straw golden with a decent white head and little lacing.
Nose shows bigger than expected hoppiness, but it works well with the light background maltiness... hops are smell like cut grass and light citrus zest.
Flavor mirrors the aromas nearly perfectly with a bit of an upfront bitter bit that adds to the drinkability in my opinion.
Body is light and carbonation is spot-on where it should be.
If this was in a reasonably priced 6-pack, I would buy it all the time in this Boise heat. It is a near perfect summer quaffer for somebody that like lagers and want more of a hop bite.
Great aroma, and all of that early on stuff. After you drink it, no thanks. And 4.5% alcohol? Why? drpimento (3801) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 1, 2017
To begin with, I think it's kind of odd that considering how I scored this beer in the individual categories how it ended up scoring below average in the total. Anyway the aroma is mainly caramel malt with a hint of Hop. Flavor is mainly bitter citrus/lemon, with very little hop character in any capacity, except for bitterness. Body is a touch on the thin side. Finish is bitter. theisti (4221) - Kansas, USA - NOV 22, 2017
12 oz can purchased as a single at Tipsy’s Wine and Spirits in Mission, Kansas. DEN 4258 printed on bottom of can. The pour is a clear yellow golden with a ½ inch foamy white that falls pretty quick. The aroma is cracker malt, clean floral citrus hop, and a bit of general sweetness. The taste is a clean balance between the crisp clean pils malt and the citrus, sweet floral hops. Bit of a softly tart bitter dry finish. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and the bitter dry finish. Clean easy drinking beer. Sweet grain and bread malts, light sweet orange fruits, lemon, bitter grain malts. Clear, light gold, tiny, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More bitter citrus fruits, lemon, straw, grass, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright IPL, lacks complexity. Pours with a clear, clean straw yellow hued body with a lasting and lace leaving white head. Aromas are hoppy, malty and clean. Bready, biscuity, nice base malt character. Hops are somewhat generic in their spicy and fruity notes. Flavors are grassy, bready, malty, clean. Light melon and fruit from the hops. Lively carbonation, soft but noticeable bitterness. Clean

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2017 12 ounce can. Straw colour, slightly hazy, long lasting foam. Pilsner noble hop and bready nose. Noble hops kick it up front, kinda fade mid palate, bread malt moves in. Light bodied. Tasty for the most part. The 4.5 %abv I do appreciate. rosskyle (777) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 30, 2017
