Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everythinga real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

22oz bottle from Oak Tree Discount Wine and Liquors in South Plainfield, NJ. Pours a cloudy, dull orange, gold tinted body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of sticky lacing throughout. Aroma is fruity and sweet hops with big tangerines, oranges, and melon fruits with lots of florals and a few pines. Some caramel malts offering a nice balance with a light sweetness and a touch of bread. Flavor is similar. Lots of fruity, fairly sweet floral hops with plenty of tangerines, oranges, melon fruits, and light pines. Nice malt backing with a light caramel sweetness and a light bread as this finishes fruity with lots of sweet floral hops and a moderate, piney and earthy bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice DIPA. Lots of sweet, fruity hops with a firm enough bitterness to keep things balanced. Nice malt backing with a light caramel and bready sweetness that allows the sweet, fruity hops to shine. Good beer.

Pours like peach nector...thick and dull orange with creamy head. Very nice. Thick and silky looking. Smells like fresh peaches and apricots and oranges. Honey and citrus and sweet apricots on the palate. Strong and lingering bitter grapefruit finish. Sticky and full and creamy on thje palate. This IPA is completely delicious and awesome.

22 oz. bottle, pours a murky medium-to-dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma of creamsicle, spicy and piney hops, some candied sugar and grainy malts. Flavour of piney hops, dry citrus peel (without the tang), oranges, creamsicle, with a fair amount of sweetness. Finishes grapefruity and bitter. Quite a sticky body for an IPA. Cloyingly sweet and very bitter in a bad way.

Sampled on Draft (Nitro). This was a very nice surprise with the alcohol well hidden. It really seems like a session beer until you have had a pint. Worth a try if it is available in your area.

Solid ipa, alcohol well hidden behind piney citrus flavors. Strong hops usage, but not fruity as other ultra-premium ipas. One of epics best and worth a try.

Sample at the House Wine EPIC beer tasting on 04/18/2012: This beer is a hazy dark golden-orange color with a medium off-white head that burns away steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Floral hops and sweet malt in the nose. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has floral and citrus notes. Some bready malt in the background. The finish is hoppy with a grapefruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Floral and citrus hops on the nose with a slight lemon aroma. Appearance is darkened gold with a very thin foam top. Taste is spicy hops upfront with a tiny caramel malt backbone. Noticable bitterness with a lot of spices and a slight alcohol flavor. Overall, this is a well balanced IPA, although nothing that makes it really special or memorable. Id give this a B rating.

Bomber poured into my pint glass- mild aroma, faint scent of mandarin orange. Pours murky orange. Taste is OK, nothing really unique. Id say for an 8.3% beer, it is not hot. The body/palate is on the thin side. An OK IPA but many others are better at that price point (which I think was 6.99 for the bomb).

22 oz. bottle from somewhere in Michigan. Pale orange pour with thin, bright white head. Aroma of honey dew melon, pine, grapefruit, mandarin orange. Mild bread and cookie dough malt sweetness. Flavor of mint, pine, citrus. Strong leaf presence. Mild soapiness. Fairly bitter with a light sweetness. Full bodied, tends to get a bit sweeter towards the finish. This was a bit of a surprise, actually. Solid.

Bottle 12 oz @ Royal Caribbean, Explorer of the Seas. Orange-colored beer with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, citrus and grapefruit. The taste is sweet with notes of grassy hops, citrus and grapefruit. Good full-bodied texture. Great bitterness in taste and aftertaste
