Very solid and black like Obsidian. Roast and dark chocolate. Nut. Black pour with creamy mocha head on nitro. Carpet lacing. Bittersweet finish with some caramel. Well done. Nitro at brewery. coachd (899) - Missouri, USA - OCT 28, 2016
Mute typical impy aroma. Looks great, pitch black with no head. Tastes heavily roasted with some lactose sweetness. Good thick yet smooth palate. Overall it's ok but no big bad baptist.

Bomber pours darkest brown with a lasting and lacey tan head. Aroma is roasty, chocolatey, molasses, earth. Flavor is balanced, not too sweet but mildly bitter with chocolate and molasses notes. Medium full bodied, nice feel. Good but don’t want to overrate because of the style. GenDV138 (7579) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - SEP 11, 2016
22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Release #3, bottled in 2011. Black with tan head. Aromas of roast, dark fruit, chocolate, light booze. Tastes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, roast, spices, light licorice. Medium-full body with a dry finish. natejgood (524) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - MAY 24, 2016
Pours thick and dark like old motor oil that should have been changed fifteen years ago. Head is a solid, dark mocha. Head craters nicely as the beer settles in the glass. In my opinion this beer looks like an imperial stout should. Aroma of brown sugar and nuts. Aroma is not very strong for a beer this dark and this high alcohol. Taste starts out as molasses and brown sugar on the tip of the tongue and finishes with bitter dark chocolate at the back. Maybe not as much depth as some stouts, but pretty good two note flavor. Pretty smooth in the mouth but also a bit syrupy, which isn’t terribly surprising with this beer. This beer isn’t at the very top of the class, but it is a pretty strong entry in the imperial stout category.

Nitro served on tap at Epic. Dark black color with a tan head. Smokey dark chocolate tobacco aroma. Strong coffee bitter chocolate upfront flavor that trails off. Heavy smooth body for the amount of flavor.

Another rip from Epic’s bottle shop. Batch #30. Pours the part, some roasted coffee, black licourice. Full body. Squad up. Gluepot (684) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2015
A thin tan head on a coffee coloured body. The nose is rich and prominent with dark chocolate set off with hints of vanilla and dark fruit. The dark chocolate leads the taste profile, supported by solid hops, some coffee, vanilla and thick roasted malt. Elements of ripe blackberries, crème brule and oatmeal thicken up the taste profile, supported by a thick slightly sticky body. Very tasty. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 11, 2015
Pours pitch black and completely opaque with a two finger beige head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic streaks of lace left behind.
Deeply roasted dark malt aroma with subtle hints of earthy hops, peppery spice and dark fruit. Some resinous, piny hops countering hints of dark chocolate, coffee bean, toast and oatmeal. There’s also some licorice, dark fruit sweetness and some alcohol as it warms.
Medium bodied with some dry, earthy hop bitterness up front that lingers over the roasted and sweet malt notes into a dry finish. It’s surprisingly hop forward with grassy, resinous pine flavor followed by roasted dark chocolate malt, espresso bean, burnt toast and oatmeal. The roast is countered by hintsvof anise, licorice, dark fruit and boozy swetness. Really well balanced and the high ABV is well masked making this beer easy to drink. simonblaine (576) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 11, 2015
Wow.. Pours black, big head. Aroma of caramel, licorice, chocolate. Taste of chocolate, coffee, charcoal. Thick mouth feel, good carbonation.
