COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Wheat Beer, no banana or clove in this one: highly drinkable, unfiltered, “session-able.” Easy to drink, nice zest and lemon citrus flavors and aromas from the hops balanced with slight malt sweetness and just a wee bit kick of sour from the wheat. Even if you are “over training school wheat beers” this Wheat is one not to be missed and weighs in with some real kick at 5.0% alcohol by volume.

Draft. Pours a medium, off white, poorly retained head, with no lacing, over a hazy, dark yellow (SRM 4) body.......nose is wheat, with light fruit tones, with minimal banana, no hops, mild esters......taste is wheat notes, vague hints of light fruit with slight lemon tones, hints of sweetness, finishing dry with mild hints of hop bitterness, multiple esters.....mouth feel, medium light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This misses the style of an American Wheat Beer, with too many esters and not enough hops. It is not clean enough from the fermentation. BJCP 6/2/10/4/5

Rating #2643 - 2016.06.27 - Sample at "taproom". Aroma has a hint of wheat, and a bit of a herbal whif, mixed with a strong grassy note. Taste is pretty much the same, a dominance with hints of american wheat character built in (some grass, citrus, etc.) Finish is dry and crisp. Pretty average.

On tap at CBB Bud, Osaka. A cloudy gold with a finger of foam, not a hell of a lot going on, a gentle wheat aroma, light citrus notes, goes down smoothly, simple flavour with light bitterness. A touch one-dimensional for me, but easy-drinking with no unwanted notes and a good balance.
