Gerbeer (3895) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 12, 2013
500 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with very light head. Aromas of butter, pine, citrus and light malts. Flavors of white wine, melons, spruce, a bit of toffee, and citrus notes. Light body, bitter start and finish. Nice enough.

abemorsten (3652) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
0,5 l bottle kindly shared by Sigmund. Pours a clear golden body with a white film that laces well. Glandular, fruity, barnyard and light buttery malty notes on the nose. Overcabonated. Glandular, bitter with notes of gooseberries in the mouth. Lasting finish. Dry mouth. The initial flavors are quite overpowering, but once the flavors behind come through, it becomes more enjoyable

gunnar (9403) - Sandnes, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
Bottle at Sigmunds place. Pours clear golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits and flowers, malty with light caramel. Taste is moderate sweet, but enough hops to balance it off, and even some more, fruity and citrussy, medium bodied.high carbonated. Lingering dry and almost acidy finish. Dry and clean mouthfeel.

Sigmund (7820) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
500 ml bottle, nicked by hand from the rightful owner (who got it as a gift from New Zealand). ABV is 6.0%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of Nelson Sauvin hops (and probably other NZ hops), notes of white grapes and crushed gooseberries. Light bodied for its strength. The flavour has distinct notes of NZ hops, "herbal" and dry white wine and green gooseberries up front, pine in the finish. Good stuff.

Appearance: Super clear gold with firm white head that semi-swiftly dissipates. Nose: BIG NZ HOPS. Freshly cut grass and pine, hey cuz? Slight hint of malt. Petting zoo vibe that I’m kinda getting off on. Taste: Lovely lot of bitterness makes a straight line across your tongue for your throat. Super floral and a little bit of yeast that is dangerously teetering on the edge of being soapy. Tropical fruits.

jgb9348 (6433) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Crystal clear golden coloured body with a hint of an orange tint and a nice, four centimetre, relatively fast dying just-off-white head. Aroma of grassy and herbal light hops, some pine, a bit of light malt and a bit of a barnyardie funk going on. Medium-bodied; Nice very grassy and floral hop note flavour at first that dies out fairly quickly and shows some light sugars, a bit of yeast and a nice malty backbone that shows very well. Aftertaste is fairly complex with grassy, herbal, floral notes up front with a good malt presence, not any overly cloying or powerful alcohol flavours and a smooth finish. Overall, a nice beer that one should try if you like APAs or lighter beers with a good balance of hops and malt. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Super Jr. Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$8.49 sampled at home in Washington on 30-September-2012.

A - Pours a fairly clear golden-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, pineapple, tropical, floral, and spicy hops with lemon zest, and sweet caramel and biscuit malts. T - Starts off with a mix of pineapple, lemon, and other tropical hops with some mild bitterness and some sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, some floral and spicy hops come through with a bit of biscuit malts. The finish is a mix of grapefruit, pineapple, and spicy hops with some sweet bready malts. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice hoppy APA with a good hop profile, bitterness and overall balance.

Beaver (1828) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2012
500 ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet caramel malts, tropical fruits and some stinky hops.

The flavor is sweet caramel malts and tropical fruits with a decent grassy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent pale ale. Kind of unique flavors.

Hop-candy. Good, clean, long hops. The nose is heavy on grass which continues into the mouth with a bit of citrus toward the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Travlr (25767) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2012
Bottle at Paradiso Dupont. Hazy golden color, large thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma is like hop candy, boy New Zealand really does hops right. Taste is bitter and sour straw, hay, coconut, pineapple, mango. Delicious.
