   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
beer4eternity (226) - Tauranga, - SEP 26, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2011 Aroma: astounding array of delicious hop aromas - tropical fruit aromas abound, pine, resin, citrus, floral, a bit grassy, amongst the hop forest are seedlings of malt - caramel and straw mostly, honey, a bit of medicine and ginger. Appearance: clear sparkling vibrant deep golden hue, large white frothy slowly diminishing head, good lacing. Its says to me "drink me" so far. Taste: is superb - moderate sweetness, delicate sourness, when swallowed the bitterness butts in and doesn’t leave in a hurry. Palate: medium body, lightly creamy texture, fine tingly carbonation, one to hold on to before swallowing it, long dry mildly peppery finish. Overall: I’m easily won over by a beer with a shed load of Riwaka hops in it but this beer has much more than just that, another sensational sensory experience.

Forgotten bottle form the back of a shelf. 2011 vintage. Poured a golden color with an off white head. Yeah this one was old, my bad, but not completely undrinkable.

skortila (5967) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle @ Brew On Quay, Auckland. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is mainly citric, has some pine. Clear, golden coloured beer with a slight off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, has lots of citrus, hints of pine and caramel. Citric, bitter, relative dry finish. Good one. Crisp & refreshing.

Clear golden under a thin foamy white head. The aroma is a wee touch piney grassy with a wee earthy blonde undertone. Tasty flavor with a forward hoppiness of grassy bitterness, floral tones, a light touch of pine and a gentle earthy malty citrusy undertone. Pleasant and palatable while still retaining a quintessential American pale ale hoppiness.

500 ml bottle. Clear orange yellow, small foamy white head fades. Tropical fruity hop aroma. Lightly bitter, zesty juicy fruity Kiwi hop taste, light sweet pale malts, some grapefruit and pine with a floral bite. Softer than average carbonation, light-medium body, more moderately hopped. Brewed in 2011 and still good... love to try a fresh one. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Aroma is sweetish malts and a background of tropical fruit and citrus. The flavor is bread, spices, light grapefruit, mild hop resin notes, citrus, biscuit malts and a tangy/mildly bitter finish.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear bright golden color with a small disappearing white head. The aroma and flavor have bready pale malts, floral and light citrus hops, somewhat grassy. This is very drinkable, but nothing great here.

2011 Collaboration. Clear, full yellow/golden. Grapefruit hops with a strong vein of grass and the brand of mouse poison that I buy; a hint of vinyl. Frontal hops, mid-palate hops, strong hop finish, resonating astringently but not so over the top as to be intolerable. A little orange peel and perfume in there amid the hay and grapefruit. I’d rather buy local. Bottle.

500ml bottle pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is tropical fruits and light grains. Taste is fruity and malty sweetness with a grainy mouth feel and a light grapefruit hop bitterness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. A nicely done brew and recommended, although I would classify this as an IPA.

beer-yum (1827) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 24, 2013
An enjoyable beer that is more coherent than it’s name suggests! Definitely an ’Epic" brew at heart - features hops, hops, and more hops. Tasty.

CapFlu (5129) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 11, 2013
(500ml bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors. Pours a large frothy, lasting white head atop a pale yellow body. Nose of sweet hops and corn. Flavour is still corny, but a solid hop bitterness. Good. --- reviewed on RateBeer.com
