perhaps a little simple but still excellent, good citrus and hop bitterness with plenty of nice sweet malt to back it up. ShaneJ (896) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2013
Bottle from Plonk. Bright, clear orange/amber, immediate aroma was musk lollies which quickly disappeared, passionfruit, pine, lychee, mango, backed up by solid malt finish. Very special. beer-yum (1710) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 15, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2014 Yet another great beer from Epic (aptly named). This single hop IPA is just asking to be compared to their blended hop Zythos. While I’m sure I’ll eventually prefer one over the other I’m happy to keep an open mind and draining glasses of both! pmuzz (400) - AUSTRALIA - APR 19, 2013
A really solid IPA, better than Zythos. Beautiful fragrant aroma, lingering flavours, and great balance. Well done. Just lacks the little something extra though. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 15, 2013
Good lychee/rambutan just a hint of pale malt, good balance, light body for style and quite refreshing.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 Bottle at Cookie. Hoppy with good balance. Aromas of caramel, flowers, grain and liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter with long length. Palate is velvety and medium-bodied. Amber with a frothy head. hawthorne00 (3946) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 12, 2013
Bottle. Clear copper with an inch of white head that fades to a coat. Typically vibrant aroma of passionfruit, lychees, pine, marijuana, pepper. A little toasted caramel sweetness and lots of tropical fruit. Fairly bitter, a little earthy and quite peppery. buzz_and_hum (153) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - APR 10, 2013
Mmm, simple. Not something that I’d often say about an Epic beer, but this one is simple. Clean, bright, fresh, consistent flavour throughout. Pours deep copper with a thin white head, the foam dissolving quickly with a great big lemon and pine hop explosion. In the mouth the lemon flavour comes along even stronger; there’s a sweetness that carries the hoppiness deliciously down to a rough moreish aftertaste. This has quickly become one of my favourite hop monsters. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - APR 4, 2013
As soon as the lid was off there was a vapour trail of green chlorophyll and hops straight up the nose. The beer itself looks coppery amber with a skim of off-white head. Closer inspection reveals tangelo, orange peel, sweet juicy tropical fruit. As a one-trick pony it is a pretty good trick. The favour is mostly the same with a slightly prickly mouthfeel and some citrussy oil and a nice twinge of bitterness, although the bitterness isn’t Epic-enormous as I was expecting.
