One Trick Pony Series
So much beer with so little flavour. Conntemplating the blue pill? Wait! A new pony with a kick-ass facial horn. Power to neutralise poison from the faceless industrial brewing complex. No more green bottles, just green hops. No virgins needed to tame this. May contain traces of Alicorn.

From a 500ml on 16/6/2013. Pours a clear deep orange with a smallish head. Has a lovely fruity floral, hoppy aroma featuring with some spices and lots of bergamot. Flavour wise, its fruity (including more bergamot) and spicy, with a firm bit not overwhelming hop bitterness. Has a medium body and carbonation. Really quite subtle by I PA standards but very classy and enjoyable, as is typical of Epic.

500ml bottle from Oak Barrel, Sydney. Appears clear dark amber/copper in the glass with medium sized white head. Notes of oranges, pine-needles, grapefruit and caramel malts on the nose and this is reflected on the tongue with a bittersweet flavour profile without being whacked over by the hops. Palate is slick and medium bodied with correct carbonation and decent hop bitterness to the finish. Another fine brew from Epic.

Dark orange in colour with mid size off white head. Huge piney hop aroma. Bold hop flavour which is not too overpowering.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a clear deep golden with a small white head. Nose is very tropical fruit driven with light caramel sweetness and resinous. Taste is more of the tropical fruit hoppiness. Tough of caramel and toffee malt backing. Lovely mouthfeel. Not overly sweet which makes for awesome drinkability. Great ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml Bottle, Redmonds. A really dark copper pour, head doesnt last. Distinctive Mosaic nose - pine, resin, spruce, tropical fruits, pineapple, a little grapefruit and toffee/caramel. Flavour is sweet malt up front, quickly overtaken by sweet, fruity grapefruit bitterness. Light body, a touch watery even, hops are a little muted, I imagine the bottle is too fresh. Finish is short and bitter. Would like to try it fresh.

From the tap this is quite a rich and palatable beer. Quite rich up front and pours a very rich amber colour.

Bottle from Plonk. Bright, clear orange/amber, immediate aroma was musk lollies which quickly disappeared, passionfruit, pine, lychee, mango, backed up by solid malt finish. Very special.

Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 22, 2013
500mL bottle. Pours clear golden with a big white head and a wonderful sweet tropical fruit aroma. A nice fruit flavour with a big resinous piney kick and a caramel backing.

Epic does simple really well, and this one is really nice. The malt is but an unobtrusive carrier wave for the beautiful hops, floral, citrus, all the right boxes are ticked here.
