Draft to taster at BC's Bottle Lodge Montgomery. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have tart berries, oak, Brett funk, some acidity to the finish, pretty solid.

So earlier today I went out drinking. Amazing red wine wood. I started with burning myself. Light plucky mouth. Then I went to eye acid. Very prickly. It started slow, then gypsys started. Too Mormon for me. Now, I’m naked and mumbling and you will never know Syrah yawns.

Poured from 375mL bottle. Clear ruby red with pinkish head. Berry and light currant with mild red wine and tart sour brett. The berry sweetness really softens the tart sourness. Nice blend.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; release #1, bottled in 11/2016. Pours slightly hazy reddish/pinkish orange/light purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, currant, fruit jam, oak, wheat, cracker, pepper, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of vanilla, leather, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, berries/currants, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, currant, fruit jam, oak, wheat, cracker, pepper, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of vanilla, leather, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, currant, fruit jam, oak, wheat, cracker, pepper, hay, straw, grass, light funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, berries/currants, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/acidic, and lightly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a great fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, berries/currants, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced tartness/acidity. Very nice Brett complexity, jammy fruits, and wine barrel presence; with a solid malt backbone. Not as funky or sour as I hoped for, but still has a nice amount. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours ruby with a thick pink head and a huge fruit aroma. There is a funky mixed fruit flavor with a noticeable brett influence and a sour finish;

A strange but solid beer. The aroma is indiscriminately of berry and the color is blue and purple. The flavor improves as it goes along and is good but never really great.

375ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a hazy rich ruby red colour with a small pinki head. Nose is barrel oak notes, some funk, tart fruits, and light tannins. Flavour is unsweetened berries, a great funk and some traces of oak.

Has a blueish-red colour. This smells like it will be tart, and it has a fairly strong berry nose, though fairly nondescript. Sweet, with a touch of tartness. Has a nice berry character, again no particular one fruit stands out. The brett clearly lends a nice fruit. The lactic is pretty strong, but there is a fruit sweetness that I quite enjoy.
