COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As a sister beer to the Syrah, is a Pinot inspired sour that features blueberry, boysenberry, cranberry, strawberry and plum. The fruity bouquet pops with red berries, French Oak and light cellar notes from the Brettanomyces. The beer is crisp and puckering with the tartness of unripe fruit and a complex vinous finish that any wine lover would admire.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; release #01, late 2016 vintage. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden amber/light pink color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, plum, peach, lemon, green apple, white wine, almond, hay, straw, oak, vanilla, wheat, cracker, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, fruit, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, plum, peach, lemon, green apple, white wine, almond, hay, straw, oak, vanilla, wheat, cracker, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, plum, lemon, green apple, white wine, almond, hay, straw, oak, vanilla, wheat, cracker, light musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, fruit, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light dryness from tartness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly grainy/acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8.2%. Overall this is an excellent fruited wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, fruit, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellow tartness/acidity. Not as sour or funky as I expected; this still had nice Brett complexity, with plenty of fruit and oak presence, without being overpowering. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium bone white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart berries, yeast, oak and malt. Medium body with flavors of vinous oak, mixed berries, funky yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately tart with a berry and plum aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Bottle - Pours a pink color with lots of carbonation as you pour. Head disappears quickly but steady stream of bubbles remain. Slight sour taste, pretty clean and refreshing on the palate. Very light flavor, almost canít taste anything. While subtle, it is refined.

375ml bottle @ Mattís. Pours a hazy rusty pink colour with a small white head. Nose is a just simply a barrel fruit... I canít discern any one fruit with only a slight oak barrel note. Flavour is also ample fruits, mildly tart, light acidity, finishing with some funk and a slight oak character. Really loving this medley of fruit that has just the right amount of sweetness to tart/sourness ratio.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is massively fruity, with loads of blueberry and strawberry upfront, followed by light oak and a touch of brett. Flavour is tart and dynamic, with lots of blueberry and strawberry, followed by pith, medium acidity and funk. Well-rounded and deep. Excellent.

Hazy, light amber-red. Not much head. The aroma is quite lactic, quite a bit of brett, mellow fruits maybe the plum shows through a bit more, but otherwise indistinct. Fruity, berryish, with a lot of plum and brett. Still a bit too sharp on the tartness for my palate, but a really nice foudre beer.

Bottle from Tin Bucket. Pours a clear pinkish orange color with a small white head. A big berry nose, especially cranberries, oak. Lovely flavor, soft brett, big berries shine, tannins, sourness but not overly aggressive or acidic which keeps it drinkable. Really reminds me of a Cascade sour which is high praise. Finishes dusty with brett. Great. Epic is firing on all cylinders for sure.
