A - Pours a fairly clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts with pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and spicy hops.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts with pineapple, grapefruit, and mango hops with some bitterness. Through the middle, some spicy and floral hops come through with some more bitterness and a touch of biscuit malt. The finish is a mix of tropical and spicy hops with some bitterness and some sweet lightly bready malts and a bit of pepper.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice balanced APA with a good hop profile and bitterness. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - AUG 22, 2012
8/22/12. Bomber-ish bottle from Grassroots. Clear dark golden apple juice pour with a small khaki head. Spicy, floral, and lightly citrus aroma with an earthy caramel aspect. Light hop bitterness with tea and lemon along with some pine. Not sure about the hubbub but not bad. petergaynor (137) - NEW ZEALAND - AUG 16, 2012
Fantastic beer, copper in the glass, not much head, slight lacing, super hoppy. Overall lovely beer. Kobal (64) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 13, 2012
Copper/golden in color with a respectable head. Smells like fresh, grassy hops with a hint of citrus. The citrus comes out in the flavor, mostly grapefruit with some lemon as well. Refreshing and not too heavy, body semi-creamy at the front, followed by a dryness I often associate with rye. Pleasantly bitter but not overwhelmingly so with a finish that hangs around for a minute. jdpeebs (686) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 27, 2012

Bottle: clear light orange with bubbly off white head. Musty, dank basement aromas, faint caramel malts, Lager yeast? This beer must be a bit past it's prime as there's some decent bitterness but a really lacking hop profile. OK at best.

50cl bottle pours clear copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is spicy to almost cedar wood spice, floral hops and a lime like citrus note. The taste has a hoppy mix of floral hop bitterness, spicy hops and lemon to lime citrus like notes. Interesting bright to acidic hop notes. M_Jager (106) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 17, 2012
Haven’t had much of the epic range, but this was reasonable. Solid pale ale with some bitterness. kiwi_daz (55) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 5, 2012
this is the beer that started it all for me, changed my life. It was my introduction to ’proper’ beer. Awesome malt backbone with huge hop flavour. what more could a man want? jmohno (1619) - Iowa, USA - APR 30, 2012
