COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. Thats where we can help. Because at Epic were obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

Copper/golden in color with a respectable head. Smells like fresh, grassy hops with a hint of citrus. The citrus comes out in the flavor, mostly grapefruit with some lemon as well. Refreshing and not too heavy, body semi-creamy at the front, followed by a dryness I often associate with rye. Pleasantly bitter but not overwhelmingly so with a finish that hangs around for a minute.

Bottle: clear light orange with bubbly off white head. Musty, dank basement aromas, faint caramel malts, Lager yeast? This beer must be a bit past it's prime as there's some decent bitterness but a really lacking hop profile. OK at best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle pours clear copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is spicy to almost cedar wood spice, floral hops and a lime like citrus note. The taste has a hoppy mix of floral hop bitterness, spicy hops and lemon to lime citrus like notes. Interesting bright to acidic hop notes.

Havent had much of the epic range, but this was reasonable. Solid pale ale with some bitterness.

Light copper amber with a good long-lasting head and full lace. A terrific melding of caramel malt and floral hops. Both twirl around each other through the finish with just a touch of bitter lingering after the rest is gone. I didnt know New Zealand had good beers. Easy drinking, a real keeper (except for the cost per bottle!).

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2014 Nice solid amber poor. Big fruity aroma and taste. A very tasty full flavoured pale ale. Wish more pale ales packed this much flavour. Smooth and easily drinkable!

500ml bottle. Pours bright, clear amber with mountains of off-white head that leaves a little lace. The nose is dominated by musty hops that give a fair citrus impression, but fall short of being interesting in any real way. Far too light on the palate with upfront bitterness and an odd chalkiness. Theres a real sour note in there too. I was expecting a lot more from this brewery. Maybe the travel killed the beers.
