Bright clear amber beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry and mildly crisp. The pale malts are clean and present a little sweetness. Hops are light pine with traces of lime and mild marmalade. Little hop spice. Semi dry finish. Clean and pretty drinkable.
(On tap) Clear, deep golden with a small, off-white head. Fantastic aroma of citrus and peaches. Medium body with solid caramel notes and then again citrus - grape perhaps - before a dry finish that isn’t overly bitter. A lovely APA. 060208 harrisoni (19194) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2009
UPDATED: APR 20, 2009 Bottle at The Spotify tasting. Yes, certainly hoppier than on cask, but it then lacks a bit of body too. Yes it is hoppy and enjoyably but still not living up to its hype. Touch of rose petal flavour. Oakes (18594) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2010
Light bronze. The aroma is green and woody with cascades and a little bit of caramel. Soft body. Moderate bitterness. A little bit woody. Ok, but neither the bitterness nor the brightness is enough to truly compete. mcberko (18593) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 14, 2013
500mL bottle, enjoyed immediately after purchase, pours a clear copper / bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma of floral hops predominantly, grass, a bit of citrus and a crackery malt backing. Flavour brings out dry notes of grassy and floral hops, citrus and a substantial crackery / biscuity malt backing. Quite a dry, monolithic palate, with not much character. I’m not sure how fresh this is, as there is no bottle date, but seems it could be fresher. Decent pale ale, but nothing overly interesting.
