A great rye. Pours a nice cloudy amber with a white head. Smells very earthy with some boiled malts. Taste starts sweet, with more earthiness and baked bread, and a heavy finish. Had on tap at the brewery. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle at Syb Club share. Pours a light orange with a nice head. Some lacing in the snifter. The aroma is rye, malts, bread, pears, lemon, and other spices. The taste is lemon, pear, apple, spices, slight bitter hops, and a malty caramel balancing phase. Light to drink, moderate carbonation. Crisp, bitter finish. Bomber from the Utah State store on Harris in Salt Lake City. Pours very hazy orange amber. Slight white head. Aroma of rye spice and fruit. Med body or better. Flavor is rye spice and fruit - arguably citrus. It’s malty. But it’s not sweet malty. So back to rye and rye spice. It’s not super strongly flavored, but it’s very flavorful. If you like rye, you should like this. Makes me long for pastrami on rye.

Tap at Congregation Azusa. Thanks to ChinoSkillzian! Pours a clear amber, really nice lacing. Nose is nutty, sweet tea, old toffee, fermenting banana/compost. Taste is thin, watery, harsh newspaper again, lemon, lime peel. Heavy newspaper, oxidized keg or something went wrong.
