Poured a dark amber color with an off white head. Aroma was of rye, lemon and toast. Flavor similar, one of the more noticeable rye beers I’ve had. Hansen (8615) - Assentoft, DENMARK - OCT 20, 2013
Brown coloured and hazy. Has a white head, lasting. Some lightly plastic notes in the aroma, Grains too, citrus. FLavor is heavy bitter. Some acid too. Creamy texture, soft carbonation. DiarmaidBHK (5881) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Bottle from Utah Liquor Store. Pouts brown with a thin khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. A little bit of spiciness of the nose. I definitely get rye on the tongue but its faint. Finishes clean. Solid but I wish it was bigger. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle:   Darker caramel, muddy, moderate to large frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Dirty rye nose, slight
citrus peel and pith.   Strong hay and rye on the tongue, semi-sweet, pith and peel that is a touch candied.   Body
and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes with a lemony rye aspect, candyish, with some pith and peel that isn’t terribly
strong.   Tiz okay.   Their Hop Rye’it is better. CaraCurtis (117) - Nevada, USA - AUG 6, 2013
Release #23. Amber in color, cloudy/hazy pour, head dissipates. Rye not overly prominent, medium bodied, smooth texture, malty, tiny hint of lemon, tad spice.

Cloudy brown beer. Good pale tan head. Smooth palate, creamy. Lots of smooth tangy rye malt, not spicy. Malt cream. A little orange hops. Light soft finish. Okay but I really thought there would be more going on here. Disappointing.
light sweet fruit aroma, amber, hazy, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, light bitter and light dry finish. LamarBurton (376) - California, USA - APR 24, 2013
Bottle pour. Cloudy dark copper pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is wet grain, spicy rye malt, some vegetal hops. Taste is a bit better with some more spicy rye, bready and caramel malt backbone, but the overripe vegetables I got a hint of in the aroma are more present here. Lingering finish, light carbonation. The hint of rotting veggies that I get in the aroma really detracts from a grain I absolutely adore Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 1, 2013
Orange-amber with a white head. Aroma is rye, toffee and chocolate. Flavor is chalky cocoa with some toffee, rye and grass. medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - MAR 29, 2013
One finger foam. Brown clear. Caramalty notes. Fine dry clean taste. If you know it a feeling of black Rye bread. Good with Danish smorebrod.
