Bottle at Paul’s. Murky amber pour. Clean aroma with lemon peel and pine. Mild rye notes with a slight rye spice. Mild but well-balanced. Honorable mention goes to the fun name. saxo (18945) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 14, 2012
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, nuts, malt, fruits and hops. Travlr (25268) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Draft. Cloudy amber color, small tan head. Beautiful aroma of rye seeds and baking rye bread with light spice. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the expectations after that aroma, plain caramel malt. fonefan (49568) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2013

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. Huge malty character, there are some earthy/ floral/ citrus hop notes. An easy drinking American rye beer.

A great rye. Pours a nice cloudy amber with a white head. Smells very earthy with some boiled malts. Taste starts sweet, with more earthiness and baked bread, and a heavy finish. Had on tap at the brewery. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - APR 14, 2011
22oz bottle, thanks Douglas. Pours darker copper with brighter white head. Grainy, toasted rye bred, sweat socks, dusted with white pepper and a hint of soap. Creamy carbonation. Lots of grainy bread flavor, pepper, hint of lemon, some other spice that I am not putting my finger on at the moment. No flaws and straight forward, then again nothing mind blowing. Copper in color, clear with a thin head. Decent amount of good rye spice and pepper in the aroma and flavor. Roasty malt and bready flavor. Dry finish this was a nice brew.
