Shared, distributor rep donated, 12 oz. can poured to snifters displaying a black/brown hue, with a presentable layer of brownish tan froth that reduced to a persistent ring with film, and some foamy spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, earthy, coffee & cocoa. Medium bodied, the taste was similar notes, with thinning texture that followed the low carbonation, somewhat hidden alcohol presence, and roasted & earthy bitterness. Straight forward, no frills. ccex (1429) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2018
Pours an opaque dark brown with moderate tan head that lasts and leaves good lacing. Aroma is full of roasted malts and chocolate, with some coffee overtones. Taste is slightly sweet. Body is medium to full with a creamy mouthfeel and no alcohol bite. I thought this was more like a milk stout than an imperial stout, but enjoyed it thoroughly. weihenweizen (4470) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2018
Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Black with small beige head. Aroma is coffee, medium body, lower carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, and earthy. RedSox2004 (2012) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - MAR 26, 2018

Excellent aroma with high quality coffee in the foreground and faint chocolate and lactose beneath. Flavor of coffee with a well placed pepper bite. Love this beer. Possibly the best of the baptist series. Tmoney99 (15415) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2018 Draft. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium to heavy dark toasted dark chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer. GregMooreNH (578) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 10, 2018
Pours thick black with essentially zero head. Aroma is coffee, roast and some more coffee. Taste is light chocolate, moving to heavy espresso and smoke. Finish is dark coffee. A coffee lovers beer, for sure. beernutt (2) - - MAR 2, 2018 does not count
