The nose belies the complexity....both apple and light clove present. The sour apple hits you up front while the middle and finish bring you stright into a balanced saison dream. Crisp finish. Nicely done. meast (7) - Milan, Michigan, USA - MAY 21, 2013 does not count
Light, clovey, cinnamon and great. The aroma is great and you can taste the cloves and apple. thedaidai (21) - - FEB 25, 2014
I had a bottle of Release #27, 7.9%
Nice, apple and saison yeast aroma.
darker color than a cider or lager -- a little more caramelly in the color than a traditional alcoholic apple cider.
Taste is very nice, dry and crisp with green apple flavor right on the front. Mouthfeel is very carbonated, and it helps as the flavor slides from raw green apple to traditional saison yeasts and maybe some coriander on the back end. Nice and light.
Shame I bought this in February, this has summer beer written all over it!
Definitely worth a second buy in my opinion, I love a good saison and green apple makes a much better compliment than I expected. jmanock (36) - - MAR 17, 2014
cereal, hay, citrus, cloudy, lightly bitter, light sweetness, medium sourness, light body, lively.
definitely cider tartness and very refreshingly sprite and dry on the tongue. green apple flavor balances well with hay-like malt and almost no bitterness. Syzzer (647) - Oregon, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Enjoyed with brother Bryan. poured from a bomber. Taste of a classic Saison Farmhouse ale with cereal and sour fuji apple. Smell of sweet sour apple candy. Nice rich yellow color partially cloudy with white frothy head that lingers. 9.0bry 9.35bd

Superdave with the hookup! Hazy yellow pour with a nice white head. Aroma has lots of lemons, apple seeds, yeast, light vegetal notes, and unripe peaches. Flavor is nice and tart, green apples, lime peel, yeasty. Good stuff. leah2974 (453) - Georgia, USA - DEC 5, 2012
Chardonnay colored with a big, fluffy white head. Big on spices. Cider flavors. Big and flavorful. Not tart. Travlr (24768) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 2, 2010
Bottle courtesy of SuperDave, thank you sir! Cloudy bright yellow. Aroma of white pepper, dust, apple skins and wet GP medium tents. Taste of sour funky apples. Good stuff! GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - JUN 17, 2011
Golden in color with a lasting head. All white spice on the nose. Medium nectar weight with excellent carbonation. This brew is supremely balanced with the right spice to malt to bitter combonation. Very drinkable despite it’s high abv. Flavorwise this brew is rather enjoyable with pure fruit essence, not heavy nor too light. Again, very easy to get down. 41cubs (250) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 2, 2011
Big wif of tart rotting apples with an acidic yogurt twinge and raw cereal grains. Flavors of tart apple and just enough musty, chardonnay, cellar stones to make this intriguing and refreshing at the same time. A phenomenal finish just invites more sips and especially evokes a fantastic food pairing with roasted chicken and garlic mashed. Thanks to Epic Brewing for my first taste of their efforts. 2011 22oz.
