May 12th, 2013 - Epic Brewing is making waves in my beer portfolio for refreshingly unique takes on old, familiar styles. Their riff on the Belgian Wit looks like any other, glowing with a hazy tapioca gold, and scented with a light, herbal aroma, with some fancy hand soap and booze and a liberal sprinkling of graham cracker. Strong carbonation lifts the flavor from the beginning where it is a low murmur of orange, and then perks up to a high peak of juniper, and then down to a medium-long aftertaste of orange peel and orange marmalade. The flavors on this wit are deeper than most, and better perfumed, giving a quirky twist to an otherwise homogeneous style. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Bottle. Pale yellow body with a frothy white head. Heavy aroma of clove, coriander, orange peel. Notes of lemon, pepper and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture turning velvety, lively carbonation. Overly spiced with strong taste of coriander, grains of paradise, lavender, but not so much to taste bath soapy. This beer grows on you the more your drink. reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 7, 2016
650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy straw color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is coriander and orange zest with some hints of cereal grains. Taste is a orange zest bitterness with a bit of coriander and a light fruity and malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with generous carbonation that tickles the tongue. Overall, a very full flavored witbier that is nicely balanced and highly recommended. UXO (1896) - CANADA - FEB 19, 2017
Appearance: cloudy straw with a large fluffy white head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: wheat, orange peel, coriander, white pepper. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, low bitter, light spice. (6/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, sweet lightly spicy finish. (3/5)
Smells pretty decent, but the flavours get a little muddled. In particular, the sweetness grows, becoming not cloying, but less dry than I’d prefer. Decent, but not as good as I was hoping for. (14/20) obguthr (6344) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JAN 27, 2012
Surprisingly floral bouquet of lillies, rosehips, clover honey, and the obligatory coriander. Clear yellow, headless. Drinks like it smells, somewhat perfumey but the hops and spices compliment each other quite well. I’m told that "white IPAs" may be the new trend as several high profile breweries have one under development. This beer certainly be considered one. Avant garde.

22 ounce bottle. The aroma and flavor are overloaded with coriander. Malt notes are mild. A thin body with mild carbonation. Not much going on with this beer. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 6, 2012
Hazy yellow with small amount of whitish head. Very floral aroma and coriander. Flavor is very heavy on the spiciness which I think comes from the grains of paradise. Somewhat bitter orange pith twinge on the finish. Very effervescent. Reminds me of a a bier de garde more than a traditional wit. Pretty good and refreshing, but not exactly what I want when I’m having a wit. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Bottle (release #6). Pours with a hazed, light golden hued body with a large fluffy white head (looks like the moon). Good retention and lace. Strong spice and phenolic nose with notes of pepper, coriander, sage and lavender. Some floral almost honey like notes, grains of paradise, medium malt character: crackery, wheat. Quite spicy. Flavors show a touch of salinity, bready, grainy wheat, floral, sage, coriander, lavender. Low pepper. Strong phenols overall. Very soft mineral character. Very low bitterness. Fuller carbonation, dry, medium to low bodied. Easy to drink. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - JUL 9, 2012
