4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, release #10 bottled 5/31/2012. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, coriander, clove, pepper, wheat, ginger, earth, floral, and light herbal. Damn nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, ginger, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, earth, grass, and herbal. Lingering notes of citrus, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic flavor balance and complexity; with a great malt/spice balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a lightly creamy and very crisp and prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent witbier! Great flavor balance and complexity; very smooth a crisp to drink. Highly enjoyable offering; exceeded my expectations.
On draft pours out a hazy straw color top with a white fluffy head nose is wheat some spice pepper Orange and a little perfume. Taste is more of the wheat some lemon zest spice bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 6, 2017

Appearance: cloudy straw with a large fluffy white head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: wheat, orange peel, coriander, white pepper. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, low bitter, light spice. (6/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, sweet lightly spicy finish. (3/5)
Smells pretty decent, but the flavours get a little muddled. In particular, the sweetness grows, becoming not cloying, but less dry than I’d prefer. Decent, but not as good as I was hoping for. (14/20) hotstuff (5200) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 19, 2017

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a large white head. Aroma brings out notes of coriander, light citrus and banana. Flavour is quite spicy, with loves of coriander and clove, followed by citrus and banana. Spicy and estery. Nothing special but it’s fine. fiulijn (20938) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 3, 2017

Cloudy blond color, very large head, frothy. Pungent aroma, white pepper, coriander, lime zest. A bit too much carbonation, dry mouthfeel, aniseed, not much flavor going on, and low bitterness; mild astringency in the final.
Yellow and cloudy, and it frothed up big with a lot of foam. The aroma is lemony, light coriander, and a fair bit of yeast character. Fizzy and fairly light body, dry finish, lemony notes. This is okay, but that’s about it. nickd717 (4769) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 12, 2016
Bomber sample at the taproom. Hazy yellow with a well formed white head. Aroma is strong grains of paradise, lemongrass, coriander. Flavor herbal, lemon, slight tartness. Medium light bodied, nice carb level. Decent for the style.
