3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy yellow without much of a head. Yeast, citrus and a hint of spice. Yeasty finish. Decent wit.
Appearance: cloudy straw with a large fluffy white head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: wheat, orange peel, coriander, white pepper. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, low bitter, light spice. (6/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, sweet lightly spicy finish. (3/5)
Smells pretty decent, but the flavours get a little muddled. In particular, the sweetness grows, becoming not cloying, but less dry than I’d prefer. Decent, but not as good as I was hoping for. (14/20) hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 19, 2017
Rated on 10-18-2016. (Bottle, Release #22 and the label shows 5.1 ABV. ) The appearance is a small fizzy white head that has a short retention, medium yellow light hazy body, lively, very fizzy carbonation observed, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops, wheat, yeast, coriander, orange, lemon, grainy, spicy, and light malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, wheat, coriander, spicy, orange, bready, sweet, and malt. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. A quaffable Witbier that is easy drinking. The taste is so-so for the style. 22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a large white head. Aroma brings out notes of coriander, light citrus and banana. Flavour is quite spicy, with loves of coriander and clove, followed by citrus and banana. Spicy and estery. Nothing special but it’s fine. fiulijn (20507) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 3, 2017

Cloudy blond color, very large head, frothy. Pungent aroma, white pepper, coriander, lime zest. A bit too much carbonation, dry mouthfeel, aniseed, not much flavor going on, and low bitterness; mild astringency in the final.
Yellow and cloudy, and it frothed up big with a lot of foam. The aroma is lemony, light coriander, and a fair bit of yeast character. Fizzy and fairly light body, dry finish, lemony notes. This is okay, but that’s about it. nickd717 (4691) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 12, 2016
Bomber sample at the taproom. Hazy yellow with a well formed white head. Aroma is strong grains of paradise, lemongrass, coriander. Flavor herbal, lemon, slight tartness. Medium light bodied, nice carb level. Decent for the style. DuffMan (10433) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2016
Bottle. Hazy pale gold, average white head that retains well. Wheaty, with light coriander and a dry finish. Couldn’t pick up Grains of Patadise, but this is the way I prefer this style regardless. reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 7, 2016
650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy straw color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is coriander and orange zest with some hints of cereal grains. Taste is a orange zest bitterness with a bit of coriander and a light fruity and malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with generous carbonation that tickles the tongue. Overall, a very full flavored witbier that is nicely balanced and highly recommended. rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 26, 2015
bottle. hazy pale golden with one finger head. it’s a bit of a strange take on the wit style. the grains of paradise adds a unique spiciness that doesn’t entirely fit what i want in a wit, but isn’t bad either. plenty of coriander and orange peel as well.
