DruncanVeasey (8413) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2014
Bottle from Intermarche, Lagoa, Algarve. Grey yellow with hardly any head happening. I detect no aromas; largely imagined waxed lemon, lemon barley at a push; Turkish delight dusted with icing sugar. Negligible lemon, icing sugar, gelatinous nothing flavour really. Big emptiness and disappointment. Will finish but earns it’s place at the Algarvian sip and tip table. Unlikeable.

Refrescante, sabor leve e persistente com levíssimo amargor típico da cerveja de trigo

Erdinger Champ has a thin, off-white, fizzy head, a hazy, yellow-orange appearance, which hazes up even more when the bottom of the bottle is swished and poured in, lots of bubble streams and clinging bubbles, and pretty much no lacing left behind. The aroma is sweet and bready. The flavor is of sweetness, yeasty bread, a hint of banana, a hint of coriander, and some tap water. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Erdinger Champ finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and delicious. RJT

Bamberg Bash Day 3. Bottle at Munich airport. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy and crisp. Smooth pale malt, touch of vanilla and cream. Light minerals and a whisper of lactose.

Bottle at Erdinger Sportscafe, Munchen Flughafen T2, 26/01/14. Had to ask for a glass with this one, can see why now from the write up above! Lightly hazed orange golden with a good sized white head. Nose is light soap, floral strains, citrus, straw. Taste comprises light nana, yeast, bread dough, lemon, hint of spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, clean closure. So so, not much depth, not really true to the style.

CanCrusher (1178) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - JAN 26, 2014
Bottle 0,33L. Hazy yellow colour with small, creamy, white head that dissipate fast. Weak aroma of banana and chewing gum. Taste starts light sweet and become light acidic in the aftertaste. Medium to full body with oily texture and lively carbonation. Comparing it to classic Erdinger, they acquired on drinkability and refreshnes, but lost on richness of taste.
