A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.3%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Bottle set to expire in three weeks, so I didn't get the freshest example. Rather adjectives: cereal, dough, brown, clear, tan foam, light sweetness, lightly sour, light body, soft carbonation, astringent.

Aroma: Fruity sweetness with banana and slight caramel. Flavour: Banana and nuts with berries and a slightly bitter and sour aftertaste. Colour: reddish dark brown with a tan head. From: Bottle @ Nemlig.com Aug. 2017.

Fles. Op zich altijd lekkere weizen, maar beetje te zoet. Daar krijgt ie minpunten voor.

Got this one from the LCBO Winter collection. I wasn’t too sure what too expect. A bit blend. Not sure what this is.

Taboada (1427) - Compostela (Galiza), - AUG 25, 2017

Bottle. Very dark brown with a big frothy khaki head. Aroma of caramel, toast and cocoa. Lightish bodied and a little fizzy. Semi-sweet taste.

camay1997 (73) - patton, California, USA - AUG 7, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 Thick creamy, tan head on top of an opaque black body. The smell is of grassy notes. Beautifully delicious! So clean and crisp on the palette with no hint of the coffee or chocolate notes it's color suggests. Easily one of the best beers I've ever had. Oh, and one more thing...FIRST!

creppyiceman (986) - POLAND - AUG 6, 2017
(bottle) Aroma: vegetables, red apples, caramel, bit nutty and pears Appearance: dark brown color, medium-sized frothy head.
