Name changed from Erdinger Weissbier Dunkel to Erdinger Dunkel, and abv changed from 5.6% to 5.3% by 2012.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.3%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

50cl bottle. Cloudy dark brown with a large thick beige head. Aroma: malty, sweet dried fruits, light roast. Taste: sweet malts, dried fruit, banana, bready, hint of spice. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lighter than I expected.

From a beerhawk mystery case. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Little aroma. Light fresh roasted malt aroma. Chocolate malt taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

W aromacie slud bardzo wyrazny I karmel . W smaku to samo . Barwa brazowa metna. Piana wysoka ale dosc szybko opada. Piwo calkiem fajne tresciwe. Polecam

Bottle, pours a brown with an off white head.Quite high carbonation, sweet-ish, no bitterness, banana, sugar, nuts. Not bad, just boring.

Some mild malt aromas. Pours an opaque brown with a buff very big rocky head. Very round malty brown bread tastes with some raisin sweetness. Above average coarboantion and fizzy mouthfeel. Really good.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
