COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

A lightly hazed golden weizen with a thick mocha head. In aroma, fruity ester malt wtih pils quality and light chalky notes. In mouth, an oxidized malt with honey, wheat and mineral notes, a bit tired. Tasted with GRM, Probstblueribbon and Ian, July 20 2012.

Light aroma is fruity, malting underneath. Hazy copper, good creamy white head is long. Taste is quite fresh and fruity. Soft feel, light carbonation, sweetish. Overall ok but lacks freshness and light easy drinkability.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of wheat, straw, coriands, lemon and banana.

probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 26, 2012
500 ml bottle shared by Lubiere (merci!), served cold in a tulip glass. BB 06.2010. 20JL12.

App.: Hazy deep golden with no head. Aroma: Light honey, a spicy/phenolic note that I can’t quite nail down, light esters, tight or tired. Palate: Medium-ish body, slightly flabby effervescence. Flav.: A little phenolic, lightly oxidized, honey, faint esters, tired, I think; dry with minimal bitterness and a lightly fruity, spicy finish.

Showing its age.

Unclear orange brown, off-white head. Basis of this beer is an ordinary german hefeweissen, but this one has some spices added to it to give it its winter- like, warming taste.

Got it free. Not my personal favourite. Light and pale. Nice smooth bubbles and smells nice. Very common now in.HK.

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 28, 2012
Test vom 11.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,8,7,12,7 - 7,80

Braudog (6837) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle brought back by Bill (thanks buddy!). Hazy and opaque orange with one of the biggest heads I’ve ever seen (it’s a planetoid!). Sweet bready aroma. Drinks with a fruit punch essence and distinct yeasty edge. A bit mushy. (#4587, 5/7/2012)

stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - MAY 6, 2012
Pours a clear and dark golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, fruit and yeast. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.
