The Premium Weissbier at the top of its class. Not only in the context of the Erdinger assortment Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast applies undisputed as the classical authors, as the white beer absolutely. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity requirement. Today still without the traditional bottle fermentation one does not do here: Three to four weeks it lasts, until the Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast matured. For the production only finest raw materials are used. Experience of many years and constant quality controls guarantee beyond that the unmistakable taste. A Weissbier for all, those the unforgettable good taste love.

Reviewed 3/6/13. 11.2 oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. A: Pours a cloudy dark gold color. The head is a three finger white shade with that has a foamy appearance to it. Retention is really nice, too. S: Not only are the typical banana/clove estery aromas lacking here...so is just about anything else. About the only thing I really notice is a mild cherry-like sweetness and the faintest hint of wheat. Not really a bad aroma - after all, how can a nose so weak be considered bad? T: Well, the aroma suggested a feeble flavor, and that’s what I got. While the lack of weizen esters allows the opening wheat quality and finishing noble hops to shine through more strongly, it really drinks like a dinky-ass US wheat ale (think Widmer Hefeweizen) than a proper German hefeweizen. Okay, so a slight banana presence builds up after a few sips, but by then it’s too little, too late. Just a boring beer in all flavor aspects. M: The texture does a good job of staying out the way of the lack of flavor by finishing with a mildly clean dryness to it. I could do without the budding wet, syrupy linger, but I’ll certainly give it points for being refreshing and crisp. O: A score this low would suggest a mediocre-to-poor effort riddled with flaws - however this isn’t actually flawed, just devoid of any good weizen characteristics...or any characteristics for that matter. This one is certainly easy to down, at least. But when both Sierra Nevada and Weihenstephaner make weizens that are both superbly drinkable AND full of character, why should you care about this one?

Tråkigt genomsnittlig weissbier. Kanske lite klarare än de man vanligen stöter på och den klassiska skumbananen står tillbaks en aning för lite maltigare aromer. I övrigt inget nytt på vetehimlen.

Not bad, but not up to the same standard of other hefes I’ve had, not much banana/clove flavour.

From the bottle, at Bowling Seventies, San Marino. Pours golden, pretty clear for a weisse. Aroma has banana and bread. Body is tendentially light. Taste is sweet, with some sparkleness. Leaves a little bit too much sweetness in the finish.

500ml bottle into a tall weizen glass. Paid .88p for a single Hazy, plenty of carbonation with a good 2 fingered head, straw in colour with a banana aroma and a nutty bread taste. Lots better fresh from the tap ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Barwa jasna. Piwo mętne. Piana drobna nie utrzymuje sie. Jak ktos lubi taki styl to godne uwagi.

Mętne, opalizujące, słomkowe. W aromacie dość prosto - przypomina Paulanera. W smaku już troszkę mniej obficie. Piwo nie jest ciekawe. Powiedziałbym nawet, że wodniste.

zapach delikatny, lekko wyczuwalne drożdże, trochę nut zbożowych, lekkie słodowe, brak nut typowych dla weitzena. kolor złotopomarańczowy, równomiernie, średnio zmętniony. piana biała, drobna, średnio obfita i raczej mało trwała jak na styl. w smaku półpełne, zbożowe, lekko mączne, bardzo lekkie nuty drożdżowe i lekki kwaskowy posmak. trochę kurzowych nut, znowu brakuje w smaku typowych weitzenowych nut. nasycenie wysokie. całość lekko zielona i roślinna.
