The Premium Weissbier at the top of its class. Not only in the context of the Erdinger assortment Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast applies undisputed as the classical authors, as the white beer absolutely. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity requirement. Today still without the traditional bottle fermentation one does not do here: Three to four weeks it lasts, until the Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast matured. For the production only finest raw materials are used. Experience of many years and constant quality controls guarantee beyond that the unmistakable taste. A Weissbier for all, those the unforgettable good taste love.

0.5L bottle, personally shipped from Germany. Opened to celebrate arrival of my beer & wine shipment. Poured into Erdinger Hefeweizen glass (of course). Lasting, fluffy white head atop a cloudy yellow-amber body. Nice aroma of fruit, some spices, and grains. Good flavors - mainly light fruit and grain notes. Not overly carbonated, but a little lively with a nice, smooth finish. I’ll cry when this case is gone. Well done!

So lets try this “true classic of Bavarian wheat beer culture”, as stated on their own website! They say that it really should be drank from a Weizen glass for proper usage, but hell I can only go on what I have…….a normal glass stein, but its good enough for me. Also, I must say I do love the logo of the company. Really colourful with the wheat symbol surrounded by striking red and blue colours spelling out the name of Erdinger Weissbier. On pour there is a good bit of carbonation, noisy bubbles resulting in a pretty big decent sized frothy head. Vibrant and alive! A very pale golden colour. Turns a bit hazy looking after a while. Head reduces in size but retains a little bit Got a lot in the bottle, a lot of bang for the buck! Faint smell, of yeast, not much to smell, uninspiring On taste, got a really refreshing nice big mouthful, creamy and smooth. A nice start Big nice mouthfuls, but no real distinct tastes, creamy, but not bad Smooth and crisp enough to saviour, and nice for a weissbier. Nice, I liked it Wouldn’t say there is a whole lot of taste. Can’t really feel the alcohol Tastes of light malt. Light malt, some fruits and of course the wheat Liked it a lot, nice, very easy to drink, not much taste, but filling, and quite smooth. Overall this isn’t a bad beer, but perhaps a bit boring for the style and not enough strong standout flavours to satisfy the Weissbier fans………

I think I should have chilled the beer a little before opening. Golden and almost clear beer. Three finger head that fairly rapidly disappears and no lacing. On the nose is wheat and yeast. Subtle banana notes Lively and quite smooth in the mouth with a good carbonation those yeast flavours and sweet hay grassy notes, some floral notes. Whilst I did enjoy this beer it wasn't as I expected, no banana or cloves or spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap pours out a hazy straw color topped with a fluffy white head. Nose is fruit wheat some sweetness. Taste is more of the fruit east and wheat.

500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, medium size white head, good lacing. Mild fruity aroma, citrus, floral and grassy. Smooth mouthfeel, medium-bodied, medium carbonated. Citrus fruity taste, mild peppery, cloves, bread, grapes, some banana notes. Crisp finish.

Not your normal weissbier in taste. There’s no trace of banana, bubblegum or clove in this one. However, its a great beer in its own right. more of a bitter taste compared to some of the top weissbiers out there. Deceptively strong though, I usually end up mangled after a few of these, especially when its on draught. Wetherspoons pubs in the UK usually have this on draught or in a bottle and its my drink of choice if I’m ever in one of their pubs along with Tucher’s weissbier.

Very nice aroma and taste: it’s supposed to be banana & citrus, I don’t make the association but it’s both very refreshing and soft at the same time. Aftertaste slightly astringent but very nice. Lively carbonation. First time I tried a Weissbier but won’t be the last.

typical weiss beer. The taste and aromas are as they should be in weiss beer. Fruity and smooth leaves a great aftertaste.
