   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 5/5   OVERALL 12/20

Great head. Average color, looks "citrusy". Tastes and smells of malt, somewhat "belgiany". Good beer.

(500 ml bottle) Pours a murky golden beer, with vigorous medium carbonation, and a tight white head. The aroma is disappointingly weak for a Hefeweizen. There are subtle notes of fresh malt, wheat, banana, clove, lemon, mineral water, kiwi, sulphur, and cereal. It tastes fairly sweet, with a noble hop bitterness, and the palate is light and effervescent. Overall, this Hefeweizen falls flat when compared to the likes of Franziskaner, or Weihenstephaner. The aroma is underwhelming, the palate is mediocre, and the note of sulphur just shouldn’t be there. From experience, however, Erdinger is much better served from the keg.

Pale and hazy golden/ orange color with a fluffy head of white foam. Copious amounts of cereal and an undercurrent of sweet orange juice. Has a bit of a sick vegetable finish that takes the experience down a few notches.

Ar: Banana, chalk, a hint of juicy fruit; cotton candy and peach skin; clove and black pepper, though quite soft; smooth, light maltiness. Ap: Golden and lightly hazy; very large white head with phenomenal retention, leaving a large airy cap of foam. T: Banana and black pepper up front; peach skin and soft malt, very light sweetness; soft, fresh maltiness; very low bitterness, no hop flavor; light malt, black pepper, and ripe peach on the finish. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation; very soft and pillowy on the palate; finish is dry. O: A spectacular German hefeweizen; hallmark flavors of banana, clove, peach, and fresh malt; great mouthfeel and looks superb in the glass!

Heerlijk weizen bier. Regelmatig gedronken op terras in Griekenland na een lange wandeling. Prachtig vol wit schuim, rijk van smaak.

A szokásos bajor búzasörök egyike. Strandon, kint a szabadban jó iszogatni, de nem fog meglepni.

500 ml bottle @home,bb 04/2018. Golden, hazy, lively carbonation. Not so strong wheat and banana aroma. Taste is the same plus yeast and clove. Watery. Average.

Fles (ooit ook wel eens tap). Niet al te sterk, vrij vlak Duits witbier; het is altijd een van de minder opvallende Duitsers.
