The Premium Weissbier at the top of its class. Not only in the context of the Erdinger assortment Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast applies undisputed as the classical authors, as the white beer absolutely. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity requirement. Today still without the traditional bottle fermentation one does not do here: Three to four weeks it lasts, until the Erdinger Weissbier with fine yeast matured. For the production only finest raw materials are used. Experience of many years and constant quality controls guarantee beyond that the unmistakable taste. A Weissbier for all, those the unforgettable good taste love.

Bottle. The pour was a murky medium yellow with an average size (1-2 finger) white creamy head that was mostly diminishing and had fair lacing. The aroma was that of a typical Hefe Weizen, a straw like malt and a cobweb scented yeast with notes of citrus, clove and banana. It tasted very mild with a bit of wheat and a hint of citrus in the beginning and finished quite yeasty with a note of spice at the end. The flavor was nice but short lived. Mouthfeel was light in body and creamy in texture with a lively carbonation. Overall a good Weiss Bier, but nothing really stands out from the typical Hefe Weizen.

The can amazingly was better than the bottled version. 500ml can from Wellcome supermarket in Taipei ( Songren road ). Pours a beautiful pale gold. Thick white head. Nose was lemon and wheat and bubblegum. It was much smoother in a can.........I am thinking I actually got an authentic can from the source. It was very smooth and very drinkable. Taste was a mild, smooth sweet banana, wheat and light sweet fruit. If you see the mat finish can go for it. Indeed if I see these again I will buy a few.

Butelka do 01.2018.

Correcta.

50 cl. bottle @ Home. Aroma: not very intense aromas of grains, cereals, wheat, straw, spices. Very subtle hints of banana, grapes, wine, fruits, bubble gum. Appearance: light golden to yellow-straw color. Medium hazyness. Perfectly white foam made of assorted sized bubbles, mainly medium-to-big sized. Very high head thickness. Creamy foam. Very high retention. Low Brussels’ lacing. Taste: low-to-medium sweetness, very low bitterness, no sourness. Very subtle flavors of grains, cereals, wheat, some spicy, citrusy and banana nuances. The balance is toward the malt sweetness, but it lacks a lot of flavor. Palate: light body, very watery texture, low-to-medium carbonation, quite long slightly sweet finish of grains, cereals, wheat, with some fruity and spicy overtones. Not very pleasant mouthfeel. Overall: good appearance. Not very intense aromas. I can’t find the style’s hallmark aromas of ripe banana. Too watery texture. Not very intense flavors neither. Quite drinkable but very far from a good Hefeweizen. Not too much flavor nor complexity, pretty boring.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2017 Bottle.Hazy gold, thick, not too stable white head, some lacing.Aroma malty, some bananas, iron, bready. Taste thick, oily, not sweet. Aftertaste malty, bananas, some cloves, bubblegum. Could be better, the Hefeweizen aromas are not too pronounced.

500ml bottle. Pours cloudy orange with the usual big white fluffy head. Very grainy and cereal in the nose with bubblegum and a hint of banana and corriander. Some sharp carbonation and then a smooth chewy mouth feel. Taste is similar to the nose, but it’s a little bit blander than some of the better ones I’v tried. Some bitterness on the finish with this one. Overall it’s still hugely drinkable.

On tap in Edinburgh. Even by hefeweizen standards, this is cloying. It’s got a nice biscuit and spice aroma and initial taste, but the bubblegum esters and malt sweetness get overpowering pretty quickly.
