UPDATED: OCT 15, 2009 This was surprisingly good. It’s dark gold with a medium, dense off-white head that slowly shrinks and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is a strong, pungent pale lager aroma first of sweet grain & malt, then flowery pine, leaves, with hints of crackers and a typical light hint of skunk. The taste is also a strong pale lager taste, with a sweetish malty start then a faintly meaty, pungent pine-herbal-grass hop taste and bitterness that really dominates the drink for the rest of the time and is quite nice. After a while, as it warms a bit, there is a faint soapy metallic quality, but this is not noticeable if one drinks it cold or does not linger on it, instead letting the sharp herbally hops dominate. The body becomes a little watery as it warms. In the end, it is quite good. It goes well with food. jcwattsrugger (12579) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2009
500ml bottle-pours a rich rocky white head and slightlyhazy gold color. Aroma is grain/bready, lime, herbal/tea hops. Taste is grain/bready/light-medium malt, herbal/spice hop with some bite, some citrus-lime. Towards medium body. Dryish. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this one. wildbeercat (359) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JAN 9, 2014
500ml bottle into a shaker glass; served cold.
Aroma: Moderately sweet malt. A little honey, some moderate hop bitterness.
Appearance: Slightly hazy, bronze body with a very thin white cap. Slow, moderate amount of visible carbonation. Medium lacing.
Taste: Moderate amount of malt with an equal amount of hoppy bitterness. Very light, subtle sweetness.
Palate: Medium body, with a medium+ length on the finish, which ends on moderate bitterness.
Overall: Actually a really nice lager! Great hop bitterness rounds it all out. Tasty stuff! HermanW (1069) - Coevorden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2004

Pours a nice yellow with a great head; my porn star girlfriend smiled. Flavor is thick corn with a brusque aftertaste of husk. Thick mouthfeel. Worth a try, nonetheless.
31-May-08 (500-ml bottle: Purchased 12-May-08 for $1.79 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Medium sweet, very bready and mildly corny malts are nicely balanced by a spicy, almost peppery hop flavor and light-to-moderate bitterness, finishing with light notes of earth, toast and smoke. Similarly bready and honey-sweet in the nose, grainy, casually smoky, but just a hint of hops. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced on the palate with medium carbonation. Golden-yellow in color with slight haziness. The off-white head rises to an inch on the pour, then settles to a broken film and wide ring. Some spotty lace is left on the glass. A very flavorful and pleasing bohemian pilsener that stands up to a good many of the authentic releases from the Czech Republic. Zach Diesel (905) - Sisters, Oregon, USA - OCT 2, 2003
light malty aroma with a hint o' skunk, pale gold with minimal head, light corny malt with faint hop notes
