Bottle. Pours hazy ruby with a large, fizzy ivory head, high retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw), light hops (herbal), and average esters (berry) with notes of cherry. Flavor is average malt (bread, cookie), light hops (herbal), and average esters (berry) with notes of cherry. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, high carbonation with a dry finish. Slightly hazy copper, dense white head, little dark red particulates, full body, medium carbonationjgb9348 (6399) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 7, 2010
Aroma: a lot of bready yeast, notes of dark cherry and damp earth, a very subtle hint of leafy hops.
Taste: bright sour cherry, damp musty funky belgiany yeast, toasty and slightly caramel malt, just a trace of leafy hop bitterness.
Very nice fruit beer. Fruit is very present, but not sweet or overpowering, a team player. Hop level is perfect, as in hardly detectable but still balancing. Not as sweet or funky as a kriek, not as fruity or bland as a cherry wheat, it takes the best elements of each and finds a happy medium. A sessional wheat beer -rare.
Heavy carbonation - explodes as soon as opened - be careful! Nice ruby and pink tinted copper coloured body with a super thick, frothy white head and a trillion bubbles floating from the bottom are visible. Aroma of cherries, malt, cardboard, fruit, wheat and a touch of icing sugar. Medium-bodied; Super effervescent with a large amount of cherries and fruity flavours at first then fading to a sweet finish with a dose of wheat and coriander seed noticeable. Aftertaste is pleasant and relatively clean - only some minor flavours hit the end, some light sweetness and a touch of cherries. Overall, an okay beer - not horrible, but a very carbonated and decently balanced beer - not too sweet, but not showing too much character. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 11-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 07-September-2010. italianjohn (3193) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 22, 2010

On tap at Cole’s in Buffalo, NY. Drank it on recommendation of Ender from TBS. Interesting beer. Definitely fruity, a TON of cherry, and it even pours red. But it’s a thick beer, almost pulpy. Not clear and crisp like a normal fruit beer. For that, it was an interesting beer to try. Unfortunately, as with a lot of fruit beers, I can’t see myself drinking a ton of it. It was still a very cool try though.

more of a soda than a beer, like one of those lightly flavored seltzer waters. sadly, other than the cherries and sweetness, there is nothing about this that says "beer" to me. would be nice if they had given it a little bit of a beer profile with say, oh i dont know, hops and malt? even the sam adams cherry wheat is more interesting than this. good beer to bring to a party for people who dont like beer though, like a watery lambic. oh well. still perfectly refreshing all the same. just not beer. Not much to this beer. Heavy carbonation, which I enjoy, but it poured terribly, leaving nothing but head in the glass (I poured this beer correctly), and what’s worse, it tastes like club soda with a cherry in it. BREWMUSKCLES (2721) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 27, 2010
i needed to tame my initial impression of this fruity sour brew with some thought about my experiences with these types of beers and the challenges that the brewer has inventing them. after a few sips i began to enjoy the genuine black cherry sour and slightly sweet taste with the yeasty and lively light malt finish in a moderate body that cleans everything up and makes you ready for another sip. for what i can tell this is a successful beer especially for the summer... enjoy one ! swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 21, 2010
