Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Aroma is all black cherries with a slight grain presence..mostly a rye smell. Pours an orangey ruby color with a moderate head. Flavor is a strong black cherry, with the sweetness bordering on cloying. Still I find myself liking it for a fruit beer. Texture is a touch watery, like its missing some body. Wheaty aftertaste...a touch of tartness. LinusStick (3541) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 14, 2009
A decent fruit beer (for a fruit beer).Aroma was like a bowl full of Fruity Pebbles soaking in a wheat beer. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was good but just like the same old fruit beer. A wheat beer with a nice berry aftertaste. Little carbonation hurt the beer. Not bad. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a faint salmon color with a large light pink-white head. The aroma was faint cherry and berry. The flavor was tart, tangy and somewhat sweet with light notes of cherry and a yeasty and musty undertone. The finish was medium length black cherry. Subtle but enjoyable. obxdude10 (2395) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 4, 2009
This beer tasted more like a B&J wine cooler than a beer. This offering from Erie was way too sweet and fruity for my palate, and several others, accorinding to a small sample of other experienced beer drinkers at the Craft Ale House on this afternoon. This beer poured a nice dark golden color with a generous off-white head with good lacing. The aroma was semi-inviting with notes of sweet malt and fruits. But the body was way too sweet and the cherries stood out a little too much for my liking. DocLock (11254) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 4, 2009
Draft at Craft. Pours deep coppery with slight pink tinge and 1-finger head that forms great lace. Nose is freshly picked black cherry, not artificial at all, with a solid malt bill. Tastes malty, with the black cherry in the background, on the sweet side. This is a solid fruit beer.

Tap at Capones. Pours a hazy pink with a medium creamy white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of ripe cherries and cereal grains. Flavor of the same with some sugar coated Cheerios. MrBunn (2869) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle. Pours a pinkish amber with a bit of a fizzy head. Aromas of tart cherries and an almost rye & wheat-like malt presence. Flavor is heavy on the cherries... black cherries with just a little bit of pie cherries thrown in to add some tartness. This beer is not a rough and tumble beer, but I kinda like it... This is a really good fruit beer. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2009
Draught: Aroma of cherry and black cherry. Poured rose/pink in color with a small, loose, white/pink head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of cherry, black cherry, malts, and slight caramel. Medium body. Dry, thin texture. Average carbonation. Black cherry and malt finish is sweet and dry. This poured a cloudy cherry red color with a big off white head. Aroma was some nice tart cherries but not overwhelming, and some creamy sweetness in there as well. Flavor was alot better than I would have expected. It was semi tart cherries with just the right amount of creamy sweetness to balance out the sourness. Pretty good stuff overall.
