Reddish orange beer with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Nose of sour cherries and yeast with a bit of citrus. Taste is sweet up front, like sugared cherry puree, with a hint of bitterness that follows. It would have been better if the sourness of the aroma were apparent in the taste, but it’s definitely much more sweet than sour. The aftertaste counterbalances a bit, but there is a distinct lack of complexity here. Drinkable, but not great. xxxspidermetal (2) - Salem, Ohio, USA - JUN 18, 2013 does not count
Pours a pinkish amber. Lacing had to be coaxed a bit. Sour cherry taste over an ale. Finish is a bit uneven. Decent drinking but unsure of what to serve with it.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2013 @Magic City Brewfest. Hazy amber with medium head. Not much on the aroma. Some malt sweetness with an artificial cherry finish. Update-Aug 2013 Bottle. Hazy copper w/ small white head. Aroma of cherries and malt sweetness. Light body with cherry notes upfront and a sweet finish. A little too sweet for my tastes. 12oz bottle... From Party Source, I’m pretty sure. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head. Little arcs of lace. Medium body. Kind of soft, more pronounced carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Sweet taste, with a bite. Some wheat, wet laundry, artificial tasting cherry. Musty. Worse than I thought it would be, can’t imagine that there are too many fans of this Aurelius (5652) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Doughy, straw lager aroma with slight sourness. Meh label, standard 12 oz longneck; slightly rusty gold beer, clear; lacing white head. Sweet, tangy, a little under-carbonated, a lot under-bittered. The black cherries are subtle - this doesn’t taste like a kriek or anything that aggressive in its fruitiness. A bit chewy, a little cherry slurpee in the frontend of the finish. Drinkable, not great. ABC, Bull Run.

Hazy amber. Not much aroma, but slight black cherry. Sweet malty taste with cherry flavor. Medium bodied; average carbonation. DialSquare (5186) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 22, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2014 Bottle ABC. Copper pour, slight tan head. Aroma of black cherry, grain. Taste is moderately sweet cherry, coriander, wheat. Little watered down. Ok. 6.2 Original Rate 5/22/13: 12oz bottle from ABC on Betton. Orange pour with a good sized bright white head and frothy retention. Aroma is a little of the cherry with sweet caramel malts. Tastes are watered down cherry juice. Sweet, syrupy, thin. Little carbonation. Not awful tasting - but definitely not good. burg326 (5628) - Florida, USA - APR 29, 2013
12 ounce bottle, poured a light amberish red color with aromas of light tart cherries, candy, and some sugar. Flavors are artificial tart cherries, light grain, and some hard candies, meh.... tnkw01 (1854) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 26, 2013
Bottle. Pinkish gold color. Some head, no lace. Aroma is strong cherry but not over powering. Some cherry taste but not overly sweet. Nice beer. Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - APR 15, 2013
Pours golden amber with large white head and great lacing. Aroma reminds me of my mother’s homemade cherry pie. Sour cherries with a touch of sweetness. Taste is less impressive...cherries, pears, and sour dominates. Too thin and placed on top of ordinary ale.
