Bottle. Pours a clear peach color with almost no head. Aroma of cherry, floral, yeast. Taste is primarily sweet. Fruit flavor is mild so as not to take over the entire experience. Medium body and lively carbonation. This is one of the better fruit beers that I’ve had, good summer brew. Cakes (440) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2012
From the keg at the 2012 Selinsgrove Beer and Wine Festival
Pours deep coppery with slight pink tinge and 1-finger head that forms great lace. Nose is fresh black cherry, not artificial at all, with a solid malt bill. Tastes malty, with the black cherry in the background, on the sweet side.
Has kind of a bitter after taste.
This is a solid fruit beer. Very distinct and bold. Suttree (6415) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Amber, decent sized white head. Smell like cherry and toast. I liked the fact that this was clean and crisp, without a lot of fake or artificial notes. Seemed like a nice cherry flavor, not too heavy or cloying. Would drink again... Travlr (25185) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 27, 2014

i needed to tame my initial impression of this fruity sour brew with some thought about my experiences with these types of beers and the challenges that the brewer has inventing them. after a few sips i began to enjoy the genuine black cherry sour and slightly sweet taste with the yeasty and lively light malt finish in a moderate body that cleans everything up and makes you ready for another sip. for what i can tell this is a successful beer especially for the summer... enjoy one ! Bottle at the Nook. Pours copper with a small, beige head. The aroma is distinctly black cherries, with notes of brown sugar, and saaz hops. The flavor is acidic sweetness, and mild bitterness. The palate is medium, crisp and clean. Overall, this is a surprisingly delicious fruity cream ale, with distinct fruit aroma without the typical cough syrup flavor. Well done. 12 oz bottle from the sampler case. Very little cherry and lots of dryness. Bitterness lurks throughout. I’ll pass on the next one. unclemike (3143) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - OCT 8, 2013

Interesting but not much special. Nice aroma and aftertaste of cherries and dark indeed in shape entirely.
