UPDATED: JAN 27, 2007 this beer was very average. Mild flavor, nothing really jumped out at me. It did go down real smooth though beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAY 13, 2006
On tap at the LI Beer Festival. Pours a medium copper with a nice off-white head. Pleasant floral aroma with some malt coming through as well. Very nice flavor - malt, some fruitiness from the hops, with a very nice finish. Everything you’d want from a Spring Bock. Good stuff. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2006
My third favorite EBC beer. Not as great as the railbender or fallenbock. But one of the better "mai"bocks ive had and a few of thesde as the leaves are changing is quite nice by the lake. thedm (6216) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 25, 2005
The DM & Hotstuff vacation tour July 2005. This draft brew from Calamaris in Erie, PA poured a medium sized head of frothy fine to medium sized long lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and light brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malty very mild sweaty dirty socks. Its mouth feel is initially smooth with a lingering tingly vinous palate. Its flavor contained mild malty bock like notes. FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2011 I have not been overly impressed with the beers from this brewer in the past but this one was rather good. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet and sugary with an undertone of ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet and sugary with light malts and a hint of caramel. There is a hint of an alcohol burn but given the 8.5% this is reasonable.

Bottle at Calamari’s in Erie, PA. Small off-white head that contained fine, small and large sized bubbles, fair lacing, carbonated, transparent, and a yellow hue. Aroma was malty as was the flavor. Tingly, dry mouthfeel. Medium body. JdoubleyouS (82) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2005
Nice dark amber color, great aroma, smooth flavor with a crisp finish. Try it if you can get your hands on it. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JUN 7, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2008 [draft - 10th Annual PA Microbrewers Fest, Pennsylvania Brewing Co. - Pittsburgh, PA] Poured a deep amber color with not much of a head. Nice balanced aroma, although I think I detected more malts than I did hops. Smooth malt flavor with a decently crisp hop finish and a slightly bitter aftertaste.
